I don't think we have shaken off the "punching above our weight " tag yet.
To do that we need to put together several seasons of top 6/7 places, whilst flirting with the top four, for part of those seasons.
If we start this season badly, the "punching above our weight last season" label will be in almost every match report and repeated constantly by pundits.

Would love that to be with RonKo, although hes got 2 years left, inevitably rumours about his future will start to swirl about Xmas time, or when a club with the letters A, E, I O or U in the name have their manager leave.

I will sit in ignorant bliss that RonKo will start a mini empire at St Marys and wont leave until the 2022/2023 season when we will install a newly engineered genetic clone complete with navy blue jeans, white shirt and black suit jacket combo as manager and break into Europes top 5 clubs.

It's all quite interesting in terms of perception. Stoke, I think, are a team who came up quite a while back now, and have not drummed up much interest since then, but they are now at least seenas a Premier League mainstay, whose general level and style of football is on an upward curve.
I think and hope we are generally more liked than Stoke, and seen as an attractive club that plays good football.
Our niche now seems to providing the big clubs with home-grown English potential talent, who then move on and never quite fulfil that potential. It's something to be proud of, but it's quite painful too at times...
Under Cortese we had more ambition, which did feel good, but it also led to Dani Osvaldo...

I'm not sure about the ambition point. I think Les Ralph and co are very ambitious just with a touch of pragmatism. When we get there we want to stay there not do a Blackburn or Leeds.

Or a Southampton! It's amazing how quickly some forget that 'ambition' (if that means throwing money at transfers and wages) can often lead to problems. As stated above we are doing things the proper way atm - living within our means but with a squad full of internationals and youth prospects. this is the most comfortable I've felt for many a summer.

Excited for the arrival of these potential signings. Will that be our summer business IN done then?
Haven't a clue. You can't rule out anything with transfers. Like Bertrand arriving from nowhere last season.

I have no reason to doubt those itk about vilhena being target for next season. He's box to box so can't see us investing there now. Either a creative 10 or a proper defensive midfielder as back up / support for Victor is my guess. Praet or a young def mid like imbulla would be top of my list.
