What are we to blame for- not being good enough? I'm guessing that's not a deliberate policy.True, would be interesting to see.
But whilst he's greedy in wanting more, I don't blame him and I'd be the same. However, let's not make it all about money.
He's getting the chance to play with world class players, earn more money and have better chance of winning trophies.
We, LFC, as a club, are to blame for players wanting to leave.
It won't be long until Coutinho goes IF we don't get CL next season.

If the reason for him leaving was us not being good enough then why would he be demanding 150k when he was here?

good logic there.
its not that he's not good. its is he as good as he thinks he is... ie probably the next gareth bale or more the next ronaldo.... carragher has it right. he will have good and bad spells and the question is do city have time for that or no.
Says who? The Echo? i.e. the clubs mouthpiece?
I recall he and his agents saying they didn't want to negotiate a contract until the end of the season. Then shortly afterwards, the club offer him a contract and started leaking the talks about how he turned it down and was too greedy.
Sterling has copped a lot of stick but the club have been no angels either.
The telegraph, independent, Liverpool echo etc.
Obviously all unreliable and are on the clubs payroll. Its a grand conspiracy to make innocent Raheem who just wanted some trophies look like the villain.
Although the points you make are valid, I think it's a bit of oversimplification. There are many reasons why we are no longer the power we used to be, and not all of them are, or ever were, within our control.- Oververspending on dross.
- Having no long term plan or consistency
- Giving the wrong people too much power
It's the club's fault we're in this position. It may not be deliberate but we have no one else to blame. And it all started when Ayre and Purslow sacked Rafa and brought in Roy.
Yes, reported by the local journalists. Clubs use the media to their advantage and leak stuff. It happens all the time..
But I think it's naive to think the club are beyond some of the blame.
If we weren't good enough then he has to take his share of the blame for that as well.If the reason for him leaving was us not being good enough then why would he be demanding 150k when he was here?
Look at it this way,Raheem can still cause damage to our rivals for top four aswell as ourselves (Citeh apart of course)
Chelsea,Arsenal,Manyoo etc. will all have to deal with what he brings.
