And the fact he was 'tired' for England does that indicate lack of fitness, stamina, desire ... ??? Or was he not being used properly. played and rested or whatever?

He also seems to have suddenly decided that RS is a terrific player.
Funny that.

He never said he is a bad player, in fact he was one of a few RS players who I would have said were good enough for the better clubs in the league. Now you just have the little Brazillian lad left to sell<ok>

If he fulfills his potential then you'll wince every time you see him play, but if he becomes SWP MkII then you'll chortle every time you see him on the bench.

i.e. the answer lies with the player himself.

Agree with this <yikes> but has he got the right attitude to fulfill that potential?

why did QPR let barton go this summer... only lad capable of fighting for you....

(A) He runs around like a headless chicken
(B) He gets sent off all the time
(C) He was on crazy money that we can't afford in the Championsh*t
(D) He was disruptive in the dressing room
(E) He never stopped getting into trouble on social media

Basically, he was more trouble than he's worth

Loving the neat lettering bullets, better than MITO's regular bullets, although he's gotten slack with those now

You forgot the key one.

He's a complete **** <ok>

Yeah I think that's a given.

I must admit I'm shocked that they've supposedly put a £200k a week contract in front of him. In fairness it's hardly surprising that turned his head. £50m over 5 years? FFS <doh>

I thought it wasn't about money so he would have signed for 35k a week surely?

if I was city while negotiating I'd play that quite back to him and his agent with 35 or 40k on the table and see what he says <laugh>

Summed up in one- he's Joey Barton. <ok>

True, would be interesting to see.

But whilst he's greedy in wanting more, I don't blame him and I'd be the same. However, let's not make it all about money.

He's getting the chance to play with world class players, earn more money and have better chance of winning trophies.

We, LFC, as a club, are to blame for players wanting to leave.

It won't be long until Coutinho goes IF we don't get CL next season.

Suarez at City or Arsenal would've guaranteed their supremacy. He's a rarified specimen.

Man City would've bought a player of or above Sterling's quality, of which there are many (we signed one ourselves), regardless.

We need to concentrate on our ourselves and reinvest well, if we haven't spent the money already.

Look at it this way,Raheem can still cause damage to our rivals for top four aswell as ourselves (Citeh apart of course)

Chelsea,Arsenal,Manyoo etc. will all have to deal with what he brings.
