Is he officially **** now?

No, but "officially" he's still not got a left foot and "officially" he still can't leap like a salmon  So we've just made £40million on a one legged midget <diva>

To be fair bitters, you slate us when we do bad deals (rightly) but trying to wum when we've just got £50mill for a player none of us rate at that figure is "officially" wasting your time and ours :)

Even you and Pyjamas would be hard pushed to argue that we haven't maximised our potential given the situation....a situation partly brought on by ourselves of course (before you bother saying it). Would you like to remind us again of what the two of you predicted we'd get for him?? <whistle>

I make it £9.8m, however thats if the price is £49m. If the price is £44m plus 5 of add ons (as reported) I believe you get £8.8m, as the sell on clause only covers 20% of the initial fee.

And it's only on profit so you have to minus the original 600k fee we paid from the original amount that you work the % out from <whistle>

A player you dont rate? Who cares what you think, anyone who has a football brain know his talents. Or are the guys who have chased him not fit to be in charge at the highest levels of football<laugh>

You have missed your true profession. So in 100 words or less, why dont you rate him?

the pres season tour first press conference is on and rodgers is having to answer questions. it is on bbc live transfer feed

The second question for Mr Rodgers (this one from the audience) pulls no punches. Straight to the heart of the matter of whetherRaheem Sterling will make a £49m move to Manchester City.

"The club has agreed with another club a deal for Raheem to be transferred," Rodgers says. "Subject to a medical the deal will go through.

"On the subject of what has been written in the last week, Raheem and I have always remained strong in our relationship. There is no issue there."

...................

the hook has been set now.

Hopefully Rah££m will ynak the line once signed and say rodgers is a twat.

More on Raheem Sterling, from Brendan. Questions from the international media now.

"At this moment in time it's only about the players who have travelled here. I spoke to Raheem at length yesterday, there is no issue. Two clubs have greed a deal and subject to a medical he will move on. At this moment in time our interest in the players here.

"It's important for us to improve and build the squad for this season coming. We are pleased with the players we have brought it. It's the overall team that is important. We aim to be stronger than last season that will be reliant on everyone."

Ah right, so he is **** then, gotcha <ok>

Not sure if you've deliberately misread the quote. What Billy said was, none of us rate AT THAT FIGURE.

Of of course he has real potential, but he's not a 50m player at the moment hence why none of us are too fussed about him going

You are not fussed about him going??

Ignored the first point because been proven wrong? <whistle>

and no, I think 90% of fans are happy he's going now... Doesn't want to play for us and acted a ****, can be city's problem when in 2 years time he and his agent have a hissy fit about his wages and playing time.

Of of course ideal world he enjoys it here. Signed new contract when offered, played really well and stayed.. But once he said he wanted to go that was it, bridges burnt.

He's not Suarez, he's not irreplaceable. Many people close to the club think Ibe is close to where Sterling was when he broke through and has the potential to match what sterling achieved so exciting to watch him instead

I'm delighted.

As I asked (and you failed to understand despite your huge footballing brain <whistle>), what did you think was fair value for Sterling at the end of last season? Were you constantly on here raving about what a little star we had and how we should fight off his suitors tooth and nail? <laugh> I must have missed that.

Simple question....do you think we got a pretty damn good price for Raheem Sterling as we had little choice but to sell anyway?

they are indeed <laugh>

its almost half hearted from them.

perhaps mccarthy and miralles headed for spurs and being stuck with coleman now their first team hasn't taken him on has soured the mood.

I'll bet tobes won't like the fact that rodgers had a nice long talk with sterling (according to rodgers)

"At this moment in time it's only about the players who have travelled here. I spoke to Raheem at length yesterday, there is no issue. Two clubs have agreed a deal and subject to a medical he will move on. At this moment in time our interest is in the players here."

which is supporting my theory the david brent ego was convinced he could turn it round at the 11th hour and convince the cash hungry midget to stay :bandit;

..........................

rodgers is also testy...

Rodgers: "Roberto Firmino is a top class player. Of course there is no pressure. He will come into the Premier League, it takes a bit of time to adapt. But he has all the traits we want from a player. He works very hard.

"Transfers is not really something I want to go into in a press conference. I spent a lot of last season talking about transfers and don't intend to this year. Any business done will be done behind the scenes at the club."

as in i ****ed up last year and have been told to shut my fat trap.

The price is what City had to pay, I think its above the value of the player. However tehy have just got a terrific player and Liverpool have managed to strengthen a rival by selling. The owners had the option to keep him; it was a risk but he was only on £35k a week and if not performing he could have rotted

PJ admits city are our rival not swansea or whatever....

nice!

Agreed!

He's a bloody good player, 50m good, right now, don't think so..
If he lives up to the hype/potential, then City have indeed made a good invesment, even at that price!
Again, agree that most LFC fans don't care that he's left due to the manner in which he engineered the move.
If he kept quite, kept his head down, acted professionally and then was sold, the mood would no doubt be different.
In the end, the lad didn't want to play for us anymore, so no point crying of split milk, he moves on and we need now not to blow the monies City have kindly given us..

and there you have it.

mirallas mugged of everton despite being quite a good player for them, very driect and troublesome for defences.
v
Sterling mugs off LFc and he's a top top player LFC are fools to sell.

Mirallas still hanging round like a bad smell
v
sterling sold for top top moeny after we refused tow bids.

seems to me there's a contradiction somewhere here <laugh>
