He turned down City as he said he knew he wouldn't get a enough game time. He is already available for transfer as he has a £8m buy out fee.
Beefy don't get me wrong I would love it to happen....but afraid I don't see it happening.
Liverpool
Tottenham
Everton
Think they would all try to get him,not sure he would consider us as his best option.

He's a footy player... Lallana was saying basically the same. I'm saying 100% he would come. I am saying for £8m he is worth a bid at least.

Did you mean you're "not" saying 100%?

Lallana said 4 months before that he'd love to stay for life... Surely s player would do it 2 days later? Could they??

Yeah I missed the not. On footballers I wouldn't rule anything out.

I have never understood why people take managers/players at their word, without exception they all lie and say whatever the majority want them to whether they believe it or not. Player says he is happy and staying, people go nuts when they leave, I have never understood it.

And the Delph clause is for CL teams only, not that he would have much interest in joining us anyway.

On the grounds he's just declared he is looking forward to being Villa captain this season, I think it'd be fairly fruitless.
I agree...to change your mind again within a few days would be hard to live with even for a footballer.

I note that City and Liverpool are discussing the transfer of Sterling. Even though this is Liverpool (couldn't happen to a nicer team), this leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I only take them at their word when they say they want to stay at Saints forever and ever. :emoticon-0143-smirk

Blog about a Sun article suggesting that Chambers turned down a chance to return here on loan. Have to say that I doubt there is any truth in it because 1) why would we add polish to a youngster that chose to leave us and 2) is he good enough to fill our needs at the moment. He would probably come here to sit on our bench as well. I can believe he'd turn it down....would take a lot of chutzpah to come back here with his tail between his legs.

Rumoured that us, Villa and Newcastle wanting Gnabry on loan from Arsenal. Good player. May just be paper talk though.
Wow, I'd forgotten all about him. Would be a really good player to have in the squad but if there's any truth to this I would think Arsenal will want him to go somewhere he'll play most weeks and I don't know if we'd be able to offer that.
