Brady's up to £9m... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/452410/Hull-Norwich-9m-Ireland-winger-Robbie-Brady
Tell you now, once we've put our balls away, having convinced no one that they're particularly big, Brady will go for about £4.5m. In instalments. Over a decade.
Middlesbrough have made a £4m bid for Ipswich forward Daryl Murphy, according to Sky sources. We understand Middlesbrough are not the only club in negotiations with the player, who scored 27 goals in 45 league games last season. Ipswich are holding out for a fee of £5m for Murphy. Wouldn't massively surprise me if we were one of the others. 5 mill seems ridiculous for a 32 year old who had one good season.
I agree, 5 Mil does seem a lot, but with the prize on offer, and the fact you only need 1 more good season out of him to get promoted, it may be worth a punt (half punt) on him.....at least he can do it at this level.
We shouldn't touch him with a bargepole, I agree £5m is crazy, worth about £3m at most. Frazier Campbell would be available for a couple of million, Andre Gray for £4m, James Wilson or Chuba Akpom on loan and we are laughing! (That is based on Jelavic, N'Doye and Hernandez leaving)
Can I ask what Chuba Akpom has done to impress you? I saw him for Brentford a few years back and he was ****e.
He's certainly impressed someone at Arsenal, they've given him a new contract to the end of the 2018/19 season.
Where has this £4m for Gray come from? I 'd be very surprised if one of the Championships top scorers last season was that cheap. Brentford may be willing to cash in, but not stupidly below market value. I think he'd cost more than £4m when you look at the prices of other proven scorers.
It may be, but as 2 ex Premier League clubs have expressed an interest - I expect he'll go for much more than £4m. Proven goal scorers cost money at the end of the day, as they enhance greatly your prospects of promotion.
