I trust Saints know what they are doing. The price we would have to pay to top Spurs offer is still quite reasonable. But there are other CB's out there as well so if we feel like there is more talent per pound somewhere else, that's cool too.

If your team is well-managed, it should never be like "Player X or bust." You always have alternatives and that's why we've put so much effort into the whole black box thing.

I actually don't feel like anyone here really is being all meltdown-y over this. Some people are just accusing others of it. If you ever read Saintsweb, nothing here ever really comes close. Those guys could panic over WGS's yogurt expiry date.

I don't think Koeman was that confident....he was toeing the line and saying as little as possible. He repeated that Toby said in early summer that he would be happy to stay here....note, nothing more recent than that. He had a text that he wouldn't divulge. As far as I was aware, we were just waiting on Spurs to post the photos and announcement.
