The historical WW2 analogy mentioned above is rather innocuous in my opinion and not worthy of mod intervention.

I must say I was a bit taken aback when those charges were leveled at me considering the content of the post in question.

For the benefit of all concerned regarding what I thought was a light hearted dialogue, my reference was to Swords stirring the pot with his comments, in his habitual manner, not Strolls?

I hope he changed his tune afterwards as the Lionesses bested them all over the pitch and throughout the match generally. He got lucky there. A very hollow victory indeed. I hope the U.S smash them.

It's not quite as simple as that. ( For those who have gone looking for the post and all of it's subsequent comments, they have been removed. ) There was a complaint made by a poster of this board ( about your post ) that by-passed us and who decided to go straight to the Super Mods.

The first thing we knew of it was when one of the Super Mod's asked us what was going on? We then removed it for the sake of complicity. If you feel that it's that non-offensive then you should re-post it on here and let our board decide whether it was offensive or not. We ( Me, Beth & Tramore ) decided at the time that it wasn't. But there you go.

Poster's who go straight to the Super Mods will receive short shrift from us. If they decide to take this route then they will have to accept that they will get no support or protection from us and we will leave them to hang out and dry. Especially if you haven't posted for five months and then come back on here and choose to complain about a frequent poster.

You're on your own from now on.

Yes, that was rather disappointing as we were all hoping for a closer game, although I thought the USA might overpower them. This time of day the Japanese goal end at BC Place has the sun in eyes of defenders and I don't know why the keeper didn't wear a cap - ditto for Canada who conceded twice at that end against England.
The keeper getting caught off her goal line was also inexcusable.

Wondering how the 2nd half will shape up? You're burning the midnight oil Nines (as per usual with your shifts no doubt).

Just off to bed now Killy. I was going to say it's a foregone conclusion but the Jap's have just made it 4-2. I'm off to bed anyway, and you're right. The shifts mess me up and just as I get used to them I'm back into the cycle. 5-2 now, night mate.
