A real shame to see such a legend go and to a rival that is getting closer and closer but I wish him all the best. At the end of the day, Courtois is the better keeper and I think it is good of the club to respect Cech's wishes. Hope he can't be as excellent as he was for us!

I rate both Cech and Courtois very highly, Courtois probably just ahead of Cech at this moment but needs more experience. Good to see that Cech acted like a model pro during and after the transfer. One of your best ever players I think.
 
Is there no suggestion that he is in decline? The head injuries took their toll, and he seemed a bit reticent coming off his line in recent seasons?

I don't ever think he will reach his 04/05 form again.. but he is nonetheless a top quality keeper with a lot to offer. Way better than anything we had before and our best keeper since Lehmann.

I rate them both highly too. I think Courtois edges it due to the way he dominates his area. Second to none.

Loved Seaman myself to be honest, even if he was a Gooner.
Great keeper and from what I have seen a cracking fella.

Petr Cech will probably be worth an extra 10 Premiership points for you this coming season. Had he played for a higher ranked country at world cup level then he'd probably be ranked as the best goal keeper in the world right now.
