I've just voted for Neil Lennon......

Although I'd take any one from Laudrup, Moyes, Lennon, Hiddink, Klopp

But I can't see Moyes, Hiddink or Klopp coming to us, which leaves Lennon or Laudrup....

Think the vote kind of shows that there are alot of viable options available, no matter who we get, someone will be happy <laugh>

I think getting Cambiasso as manager with an experienced number 2 could prove a masterstroke

We seen last season how well he can manage tactically

It's a very attractive job and whoever gets it is very fortunate indeed to be taking over such a talented squad of players, fantastic youth set up and facilities.

Currents odds as of this morning...

    Lennon 2/1
    Cotterill 5/1
    Cambiasso 6/1
    Di Matteo 6/1
    Allardyce 6/1
    Hiddink 10/1
    Moyes 12/1
    Redknapp 12/1
    MON 12/1
    Dyce 14/1
    Klopp 16/1
    Laudrup 16/1
    Lambert 20/1
    Vieira 25/1
    Grayson 25/1
    Shakespeare 28/1
    Karanka 33/1
    Poyet 33/1
    Karl Robinson 33/1
    Steve Walsh 33/1

Southgate, Lineker, Mark Sampson, Paul Dickov all 40/1
    John Carver 50/1
    Nigel Pearson 50/1 <doh>

For me, would be content with Lennon.
Would be happy with Di Matteo, or Moyes.
Would be really happy with Hiddink.

Cambiasso is a bit of a punt, and may be too early for him... Perhaps he would be assistant to whoever our next manager may be?

Really can't see us going for Steve Cotterrill.

We have the chance to make a statement of intent here, and our next appointment is crucial in where we go next.

Big Sams odds have moved from 6-1 to 5-1 to 9-2 on Skybet in the last 12 hours. I would cry with laughter watching big Sam bow to the Buddhist monks as they bless the stadium. Priceless.

    Which Steve Walsh is it?

Would people feel more comfortable with someone whos done it before (Hiddink, DiMatteo, Moyes, Allardyce)
or would you rather have someone who has to prove themselves (Lennon, Coterill, Cambiasso, Grayson and to an extent Dyche)?

Laudrup for me because of the international respect he has which would help with signings ... would take Lenny for many reasons; arguably be the most 'universally' popular choice amongst the fans ...

    ... mental or physical? ...

Neil Lennon is certainly one of the most talented midfield players to have played for the club during my 45+ years watching ... (but take note of the next bit) ... in my humble opinion ...

We have had some great midfield players in our time (whoops 50+ years of following LCFC) thinking of the late great Keith Weller, the sublime (my favourite) Davie Gibson but by far the hardest working midfield player that I have ever seen is Neil Lennon. Is he a legend? - who gives a flying ****, but he was certainly a major factor in our success under MON - probably even more so than little Muzzy. Do I want him as manager? - still prefer Fat Sam, but whoever gets the job will get my backing (including Cotterill).

In my 50+ years of following City, would have to agree with Barwell up to a point but for a hard working midfielder, I would have to go
for the Tank or for you younger ones Graham Cross!

... that could be one interpretation of my post I suppose <laugh> ... another, and hopefully more common than your interpretation, is that rather than coming across as 'asserting fact' (a recent example of this that I seem to recall seeing somewhere - "Nigel Pearson is a legend") - I instead qualify my opinion by explaining that whilst others are not compelled to agree with it, it is, nevertheless, my personal take on a topic, situation or individual ... and that I am more than happy to discuss differing takes, thoughts, opinions etc ... just like you <doh>

... no problem with it buddy ... your choice ... but confess I can't really see why, unless it comes down to risk management i.e Sam's record might suggest that he would be a safer option to ensuring survival for another year to guarantee a share of the Prem mega-money pot?

Sam Allardyce would keep us in the Premier League but bore us ****less doing it. Much prefer taking a bit more of a risk with Neil Lennon or even Esteban Cambiasso

... now I would have no hesitation whatsoever in nominating Keith Weller for 'legend' status .. still just my opinion mind Proud <laugh> - likewise whoever does get the job will have my full backing ...

... am I the only one who bought the single with my hard earned pocket money? :1980_boogie_down: ... lyrics to rival Lennon (not Neil) .."The Tank, the tank, the tank, Graham Cross he is the daddy - this Leicester City team with a tora-lora-laddie" ... I kid you not <laugh>
