Liverpool will sign Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, according to stunning claims from talkSPORT.
They report Liverpool have agreed a deal for the Belgian international and will secure his services "in the very near future."
An Anfield insider told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast programme: "My understanding is Christian Benteke, who has been on their radar for some time, is very close indeed to signing for Liverpool."
"I expect him to sign if not today then certainly in the not too distant future. Liverpool have done their work and have sealed a deal [with Aston Villa]."

Our end of season form? Including the 6-1 win at home to Villa? Relegation threatened teams don't win games 6-1 <ok> losing games 6-1 though....

    Sanchez's Arsenal transfer request
But it's not one to leave - it's for Wenger to sign Chile team-mate Eduardo Vargas, according to the Metro.
The Napoli striker spent last season on loan at QPR and netted four goals in 21 games.
But the 25-year-old has hit form for Chile at the Copa America, netting twice against Peru to send his country into the final.

Southampton got 11 points from their last ten games. Same as Liverpool.

Liverpool FC are delighted to confirm that a deal has been completed to sign England international defender Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton.
The 24-year-old full-back has penned a long-term contract with the Reds to become the sixth new player at Anfield so far this summer.
Clyne made 94 Barclays Premier League appearances during the past three seasons, after switching to the south coast side in 2012.
He was a goalscorer for Southampton at Anfield on the opening weekend of the last campaign, blasting into the Kop end net in a 2-1 defeat.
His consistent form earned international recognition and Clyne made his England debut against Slovenia in November 2014. He has five caps in total.
After inking his Reds deal, he told Liverpoolfc.com: "I'm delighted and it's a dream move for me to come here and play for such a big club with all of its history. I can't wait to get started.
"As soon as Liverpool showed their interest in me, I was happy and just wanted the deal to go through.
"The gaffer has shown a lot of interest in me and this is a place where I can improve as a player, I think. It's definitely a good opportunity to come here and try to fulfil my potential.
"I've played at Anfield before and know what the atmosphere is all about. It's a great atmosphere and will make me rise to the challenge. I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully it can push me on to putting on good performances."
Clyne follows James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez and Roberto Firmino in agreeing transfers to Liverpool ahead of next season

    Lfc team

    Mingolet
    Clyne skertl sahko moreno
    Henderdon Can milner
    Firmino benteke coutinho

    Bogdan
    Wisdom Ilori lovern Augustinsson
    Allen lucas
    Ibe lallana markovic
    Ings
There you are. No sturridge or flanagan due to injuries . No balotelli or sterling due to bad attitudes.

All in all you would say from there its got to be one in one out from niw on and the midfield and cbs will be weakest areas going forward.

I'd say we have improved but will require Utd to be rough this season to get cl again

I know you don't agree but I would begin to play Wisdom/Ilori far more this season, ahead of Skrtel. Our defence cannot be any worse.

Also, our attack hinges on how Firmino and
Coutinho are deployed - if they are stuck out on the wing in a 4-3-3, we're limiting their ability. I rather they both played centrally.

I can see Rodgers trying to get 2 holding players to work because I think its our only hope for a more solid defense.

I know we're well stocked in the position but Shaqiri is available for £12m and Stoke are frontrunners, can't believe we're not in for him!

that can be done in a 433 or 4-2-3-1.

i could see some game or with just within a game the instruction to a Can henderson link up to sit and let milner be in front of that and then in some games can sitting and the other two box to box.. the old double pivot crap.

Its easy to do if the players have the brains.. and after all.... has he hired o'driscoll who also says its not system but the players having the brains to see where to be.

it all points to me towards players who know where to be and when and simple instructions of when to flip things. Can I think can play the role. he's got the leadership ,organisational skills and build to do the role. He's at least got that. so in an ideal world the Henderson i saw 2 seasons ago early on sitting deeper can also do it.

the game is not all about lashing round chasing shadows and being all energy and doing nothing. I think its up to the players to have the brains now.

quality of player is the issue in other words.

hi Jatt... nice to see you.

I know it mad. I have not bothered looking at what went on for last 6 months but inter seem to have just dumped him. I'm not sure he can even move again or not within the rules.
