And I don't think anyone on here is truly excited about the signing... its textbook/by the book current LFC transfer business... he could be hit or miss with a whole truckload of average while he decides which way it's gonna go

Young, fat and considered a potentially top class prospect. Internationally capped and nominated by his fellow professionals as the best left back in the league when he was 18. It may not work out well but it was a transfer that seemed to have more than just the hope of mediocrity behind it. My point is that Clyne is an uninspiring signing, he's a safe bet to be decent but very unlikely to be anything more than that. Liverpool should be looking to be better than decent.
