Mentioning this here, rather than re-ignite the OS thread, but there is an article on the BBC Sport website this morning penned by footie correspondent Dan Roan - and for the first time on the Beeb raises the serious financial implications and suspicions surrounding the West Ham bid process. Pity they didn't have a more balanced approach over the last 3 years!
In the articles following comments, there is some talk about the Spammers being able to fill the new stadium and mentions that they currently have 99.6% capacity. From my recollection of the last 2 seasons at least they have to gift seats for many of their home games - or at least for nominal amounts - advertising in the Standard etc. Sounds like another example of creative accounting.......
