Jungle and their support dancer were entertaining, but the music was bland.

I don't think Weller can do the stadiums anymore, he seems more suited to smaller venues, he got rave reviews on his last tour, but it was a bit shouty for me, I don't think they can set the speakers up right for every band, maybe the singers get a lot of volume feedback so have to shout to try and be heard above the music, Daltry was suffering badly to be heard.

Yet Lionel Ritchie was suberb you could hear every word and it seemed effortless for him, and you could hear the crowd joining in.

His voice is going. It's just old-age.

And been so guitar-based it's difficult for The Who transpose songs into a lower key unless you tune down all guitars a full tone

Pete Townsend made an apology at the end for the poor sound quality. He said they did there best. Many younger bands can only dream of being that good at any age. Roger Daltry has had his best day and many of them down the years but his worst days are still better than many others good days.

They could have turned down the huge pay day and kept their dignity.

Why ? Their dignity was hardly an issue ether. Zack Starkey is no Keith Moon but can still play the drums.

I will be surprised to see The Who still playing Live after 2015 though.

What about a group of millionaires in their 70's getting paid hundreds of thousands, to play songs about youthful rebellion, to a bunch of middle-class, privileged folk has anything dignified about it?

Some blasts from the past posted on this thread. What happened to Party Hull? Renamed or just not active anymore?
