Welcome Roboto, I'm guessing that you know something about this lad, care to enlighten us? All are welcome, even Fulham fans, will be good to re-new a bit of local rivalry this season. How do you rate your chances this season?
Lol, sorry for acting a dick on this thread, I really am a bit of a dick but most on here have got used to it and just ignore me Welcome to the QPR forum roboto! Being your a Fulham fan may I ask what are your expectations for the coming season?
I am following Union Berlin. I like the team and the fans. The atmosphere in the stadium is great! 80% standing room... Polter is quality. Can't go wrong with him . First class attitude, good in the box. A fighter. U will have fun with him. For Fulham i think they will do better than last year. Though i dont think Kit Symons is the right man for the job. But lets see...
I take it you're a local Roboto. Just had a quick look at their wiki page and i see that Robert Huth once played for Union, we could have done with him on loan last season as he made a huge difference to the Leicester defense. ......and why Fulham?
A good friend of mine from London is a fulham supporter so my first match in England was Fulham - Bolton... I remember Huth played for the youth squad of Union Berlin. Was a real talent even back then.
A real glamour match if ever there was one.......it's good to know that there are genuine football fans out there who don't just go with the crowd and follow the teams that win the league title all the time. We on here all follow the Rangers because of our love for the club and not because of the trophies they have won, it doesn't matter if they are in the Premier League or Championship....well maybe it does to one or two.....but we just like supporting a side that for many years punched above their weight, have fallen on hard times, bounced back and now give us the rollercoaster existence that we have today. We wouldn't have it any other way. Don't be a stranger on here.
Thats the spirit! Union is like quite like this as well. Biggest accomplishments r a cup victory in the long forgotten communist sixties and the second place in the german cup 2001. But the team and especially the fans have a big heart and u gotta listen to ur heart shouldn't u?! If u ever visit Berlin, the "Alte Försterei" - thats how the union stadium is called - is worth a visit! please log in to view this image
That's a tidy ground, 22000 capacity, bigger than Loftus Road, built by the supporters, that shows real commitment. One of our posters on here sb_73 has adopted Hertha as one of his sides to follow because when he was in Berlin recently some of their supporters brought him some beer......maybe if this deal with Polter comes off we should adopt Union to follow......
I would not support Chelsea just because there may be a few beers in it... Looks like most their die hard fans have tho...
Don't go to Hertha matches! They play in the ugly athletics stadium they call "Olympiastadion" which they never fill so the atmosphere is mediocre at best. This is how it looks like most of the times: please log in to view this image
Agree about the stadium, never liked grounds that have running track around them. We get to watch Bundeslige highlights and most grounds look quite compact thinking Hoffenheim, Frieburg etc when the crowd are close to the pitch, makes you feel part of the game. Both Loftus Road and Craven Cottage are like that though both are in need of modernising.
Is a shame standing room is not allowed in England anymore. I think it makes for a better atmosphere.
Right I'm out of here..... Roboto good talking with you......there's not much happening on the Fulham forum so feel free to join us, we may even one day convert you into a Rangers fan.....
