Polter set to join QPR
Former Germany under-21 international Sebastian Polter is set to join QPR.
The 24-year-old 6’3” striker is on the verge of a move to the Championship club after German side Mainz revealed he wouldn’t be returning to the Bundesliga club.
"Sebastian will not come back to Mainz,” declared Mainz manager Christian Heidel, who said he was “very likely” to head to QPR.
It is believed the R’s are spending just over £1million to sign Polter, who scored 14 times on loan at Union Berlin while on loan in 2014-15.
