‘I’ve been thinking about tactics too. Last time in the Championship we were one of the few teams who played three at the back. Should we go that way again? It’s something I have been toying with.’

Interesting. Perhaps we will need fullbacks after all.

PUT THE TOY DOWN, BRUCE, AND STEP AWAY FROM THE TACTICS BOARD.

Should Steve Bruce just interview himself as he answers his own questions? Yes, yes he should.

I'm not going to the Daily Mail webpage, but the fact that Bruce apparently admits some failings after the fact isn't much consolation to me, he needed to do it at the time.

if he would only change things DURING a game..... although to be fair he does take our strikers off and invite pressure

Spot on. Its good to buck the trend and be a club that sticks by its manager.

Despite the fact we kept fat twat on, it certainly is pleasing to see the three relegated clubs stand by their managers, despite the evidence that changing managers is a proven tactic once performances have gone stale.

If we'd have sacked Bruce two years ago when I called for it we wouldn't be in this mess.

Last season saw fewer managers sacked than most recent seasons (it was half the amount of the season before).

"Tom Ince is free to talk to Derby at an agreed price."

Does that mean Derby have met his release clause? Sounds like he's on his way.

Hi Steve, sorry to interupt your 6 week holiday but can you calm things down a little at this end. No doubt you have signings lined up, but with all these departures and more to follow, can tell us a little about your plans to strenghthen the team. Of course, there's still a long way to go to the start of the new season but it would be nice to know what's going.

I know there are times when you make 25 calls a day but in my opinion that's far too many takeaways for one man to get through.

He's got one or two irons in the fire, but we've still got Aluko to play as lone striker so I dunno what you're worried about.

SB offered his resignation on May 24th. It was not accepted.

Much as I like him, you now have to question if he has the motivation and desire to manage the club.

After thinking about it over the last 6 weeks maybe he wants out ?

While he still has my support at the moment, the last thing we need now is the manager to quit on the eve of a new season, little bit worried SB does have a history of quitting or being sack.
