WOW. Did you need help with ^^^^^^^^ this ? Plain and simple economics that Rosie was released FFS. FACT.
When we played 4-4-2 Rosie and Elmo worked well. Rosie was also a victim of the tactical switch to 3 - 5 - 2. At his age now he needs to play and Brighton is a good place for him. For sure he wont have any problems starting games unless he gets injured or suspended. He can also help Brighton take points off our promotion rivals.
It wont be top of the shopping list that is for certain. If the club did then there will be a Riot. As we are back in the championship it is a good time to give Brian Lenihan a chance when possible. We can also take advantage of the loan system if the need is there.
Brian Lenihan has a grand total of two appearances in English league football, it's not much to go on. I think we'll sign another right back, proving that Rosie's release was nothing to do with economics.
The 3 mercenaries will be gone soon hopefully. The 3 who share much of the responsibility for our relegation. For sure we shall be pricing our star players way out of the range that the PL bottom clubs want to pay. FFS, as an example. Bournmouth paying £8m for Tyrone Mings. Madness.
The kid has to start somewhere and sometime. Loaning a right full back is different to signing one. To sign one will just add to fans anger over his release. Top priority has to be 3 new strikers IMO. Daryl Murphy from Ipswich should be looked at as a priority. A proven championship goalscorer.
Well IF and it's a massive IF ^^^^^ this is correct - then I and many many others wont be able to wait to hear the club talk themselves out of this one. For me it would be far worse than the name change issue.
