Well I hope so. If he says no & wants to leave then that´s up to him but LCFC should really do every thing they can to keep him. We have cash so a good contract could do it.

Looking like our most talented youth product since Emile Heskey, and yes, I'm including King in this. If rumours are true then he's got some big clubs after him, and he's started getting into the Ghana team too. Let's do all we can to keep hold of him, because I think he's a quality, underrated player.

Wasilewski signed a new deal a few weeks back

At the minute there is no word on the futures of Dean Hammond and Esteban Cambiasso, both have been offered new deals though

Good news. Next season will be interesting to see if he can reach that next level, hes improved this season no doubt, but still think he can improve and become a guaranteed premier league player.

Its a bit annoying that him and Fuchs will be vying for the same position really. Lets hope that they push each other to be better.

    Agreed

Next season isnt about Schlupp hitting the same level its about finding the next one

He finally has found his position and made a place in the team his own.

... my views well documented ... fabulous prospect whose value will, IMHO, rise and rise ... and we might see both him and Fuchs down the left ... whilst the wing backs worked last season, no reason to stay rigid formation wise ... exciting times ...

I have always said Schlupp could make a good full back but even today I think he is a League 1 striker. This season he found his best position as a left wing back/winger and took the opportunity. Next season he needs to add a few more goals to his game and keep progressing how he has this season.

Everyone now is pretty much under long term contracts

Dean Hammond and Esteban Cambiasso's contract expire this week and both have been offered new deals

David Nugent, Paul Konchesky, Mark Schwarzer, Marcin Wasilewski and Chris Wood have 1 year left on their deals

Next contract we should be looking at is Riyad Mahrez who has only 2 years left on his contract

.. well at least you are half right <laugh> ... Schlupp has been a prolific goalscorer at all levels for us since he joined as an 11 year old ... got to keep in mind that he is still young, so lacking composure at times is understandable ... but his goals to games ratio when played as a striker is still very good indeed (by any comparison) ... the strikes against QPR and Liverpool last season show what he can do ...... he arguably saved Nigel's bacon when played as a striker in the Championship - it was goals from him that helped put us back in play-off contention after THAT disastrous run - so labelling him a 'League 1 striker' is a bit daft ... indeed I wouldn't rule out him being played as an additional striker in future ... irrespective he is a great option to have ...

He has struggled as a striker in the championship. His composure in front of goal when he has time is awful.

As for that run where he scored a few goals not one of them would you say was a striker's goal and the goal at Derby he was playing as a full back. As a striker he is 7th best at the club and he didn't look like he could do the business there in the championship

But as a full back he keeps getting better and better and with 3 at the back it suits Schlupp down to the ground.

Remember Man U wasn't interested in Schlupp as a striker, Sven kept throwing him at left back even after he got a hat trick. Nigel Pearson has played him at left back/winger 95% of the time

... love your 'logic' at times Proud ... or lack of any <laugh> ... so despite being played as a striker and scoring in the Championship they were not 'strikers' goals <laugh> ... so if Wayne Rooney covers at left-back in a game but gets forward in a move and scores then it's not a 'striker's goal' ...

.. whilst I am more than happy for him to progress his career from a left sided perspective I would not be writing him off completely as a striking option at the club ...

... you think he's the 7th best striker at the club ... yet he scored 4 goals from open play in 34 appearances last season contrasted with David Nugent's 5 in 32 (including a penalty) and Jamie Vardy (for England) getting 5 in 36? ... 2 players who DID play as strikers .... the boy done good then didn't he? <laugh> ...

... he is 22 years old ... he could go on to be anything ... I can certainy see him as part of a strike duo (predominantly left sided) and as he becomes more composed, as happens with age and experience, firmly believe that he could become a very good striker ...

... and as for why Sven and Nigel playing him at left back ... whilst you might like to think that it's because they don't rate him as a striker; I have a very different and simpler explaation .......... Paul Konchesky ...<laugh>... .
