Pre season is yet to start Jimmy let the lads kick some balls. Plus it is very apparent we are yet to finish our business.

PS how can you forget the transfer window we signed Poulsen,Konchesky,Jovanovic and Joe cole!!!!

  5. I like Bogdan. I can't of any reason bar 'his signing annoys Jimmy' though :)

Martin Skrtel's talks with Liverpool "hit a snag" due to a clause that dictated he may need to play 80 percent of matches to receive his full salary, according to Elliott Bretland of the MailOnline, but it appears they were able to negotiate

In other news. Danny Wilson has left hearts and joined his first club rangers.

Some may even remember the spindly Scotland as he floundered about for lfc briefly

Skrtel's away on holiday. He's been offered a new deal, but not signed anything yet. Whether he's not signed because he doesn't like it, can't be arsed flying back or because Ayre's lost his bio is as of yet unknown.

Wouldn't say it's been an awful window so far.

We've lost some **** and brought in Milner, Ings, Bogdan and some young defender.
If we add one quality midfielder and one quality striker, that's pretty good overall and we have the money to make that happen given our, erm, budget deals so far.

One way I may see a target man work for us is if we stick to the 3421. That system offers both width and flexibility as the wing backs bomb on and cross while the 2 AM's both get a free role. A target man would offer a target for the wing backs and a presence for Coutinho and Sterling/Lallana/Markovic/Ibe to play off. I would still prefer a skillful runner, but if Coutinho continues his goal form, we get RWB who can cross (Clyne?) and the other AM runs ahead of the striker it could work. Milner would also offer more forward runs and a goal threat from midfield.

    Mignolet
    Can Skrtel Sakho
    Clyne Henderson Milner Moreno
    Lallana Coutinho
    Target

Alternatively the target man could partner Sturridge or Ings in front of this or a diamond. That work with Balotelli and Sturridge against Spurs last season.

    sorry don't see it.

    why?

lallana and coutinho are NEVEr getting beyond a target man at all. It just won't work.

Ings has declined a 7 or 8 shirt ad chosen 28.

“I wouldn’t want to go to Liverpool and chuck a shirt on my back like that - it is pressure you don’t need. The expectation at clubs like that is huge."
