It makes sense but I hope it isn't true, Stekelenberg has been terrible for a few seasons now

A little harsh, he kept clean sheets in half his Monaco appearances (4 out of 8). The season prior he was in that truly ****e Fulham team managed by Mulensteen and Magath. We would certainly protect him better. Think he'll be too pricy though.

Whatever happened to Tonny Vilhena? I thought as he was seen over here in January, everything was arranged and ready and raring to go... anyone heard anything or is that well and truly on the back burner....

It has been mentioned a few times, that due to an illness I believe to his mother, he is currently not so keen on leaving.

Personal problems (I understand his mother is very ill) mean he wants to stay in Holland for another season

Hmm, can't say I'd be too enthused about Stekelenber personally.

He'd probably be a free as Fulham want him off their wage bill. We need 2 keepers and one has to be an experienced hand.

Michu anyone?

Not for me. Can't lead the line, don't need him as a wide forward and he hasn't really done it since his initial purple patch for Swansea. Plus, he's mental.

Parma have gone bust. Wanyama's brother plays there and we were interested a couple of seasons back. probably not a go-er now but worth keeping half an eye on maybe. Wanyama's european back up could be Wanyama (McDonald)!

However, the Daily Echo understands that Austin is not on any list of targets at St Mary’s, and that the club are not actively seeking to recruit a striker at this stage, with other positions a priority.

Saints, who have generally played with a lone front man under Koeman, already have Graziano Pelle, the fit again Jay Rodriguez and Shane Long as front line striking options for next season, withSadio Mane and new signing Juanmi also capable of playing in that role.
