Could Dusan Tadic be like a new signing next year? He was incredible for the first half of the season. Just watching all of our 2014/15 goals back, and I forgot what an impact he made. Hopefully now he's used to the league, he can remain injury free and push on?

I have heard a rumour he has had an operation as he was not even in his national squad for recent games.....if true I hope he ready for next season :(

Thoughts on Steven N'Zonzi? Not linked with us per se, but linked with a move away from Stoke. Rumoured clubs are Villa, WBA and West Ham. Personally, think he is a decent midfield player who could do a job. His attitude sometimes comes into question, but has all the attributes.

I'm a big fan. Technically so underrated and a real presence in midfield

I'd absolutely have him as a squad player. But as a regular first XI player, I'm not so sure. Certainly I would see him as a downgrade on Morgan. I guess if it's Davis who he were to replace in our first XI, that would be more acceptable. But is he a sufficient enough upgrade on Davis to get the goals that we crave from that position? N'Zonzi is hardly, say, Sigurdsson or Ki or Adam when it comes to goalscoring.

That is very true. I really think that if we had a player from midfield who could get around 8-12 goals a season from midfield, we would be right up there.

Until he left for 30 million the summer after.;)

This is the true difficulty we face in the market this year. Just how many midfielders are not a Morgan downgrade?

That's true, but I think the standard of player we've been linked with is encouraging. Song & Cabaye are proven premier league performers. That polish chap just helped Sevilla to a Europa league win and a strong la liga performance.

Clasie looks a talent and on the fringes of the Dutch national team.

It sounds like we're shopping in the right places as whoever we sign they need to be ready from day one as a first teamer

No better than Wanyama and we want to replace Morgan and that means someone who can put their foot on the ball and dictate play.

N'Zonzi couldn't dictate a letter

That is overly harsh I think. Each to their own though I guess.

An unnecessary dig at the end perhaps and don't get me wrong. I think there is a role in a team for an N'Zonzi type of player and I put him in the same category as Big Vic, but we need a different type to play alongside him.
