Well done England. Well done Johnny. Saved the top order big time there.

Superb innings. Superb series.

But I will point out that that innings illustrates why D/L gave us an inflated target. Anything under 200 can be highly influenced by just one man. And given you get to keep all ten wickets, the chances of that one man coming to fruition increases. Once you're going above 200, 250, then you do need more than one man to come off - regardless of run rate. And the chances of two or three or four men coming off is clearly less than one man.

Safe to say that Bairstow will play the t20 ahead of Vince. And fair play, he deserves it.

Bairstow v Buttler...discuss

There isn't anything to discuss.

But as we've shown with Billings, that doesn't mean we can't pick Bairstow together with Buttler.

Roy's position is under a little bit of pressure now. He's fortunate that none of the other batsmen are one-day openers. That said, I do want us to stick with Roy for a little while longer.

Great toss for Somerset. They really should rack up a few today, and throughout their first innings - and they have started very well in that regard. Anything under 350 will be a big positive for us, in my view.

They've also got Rehman to potentially trouble us come day four.

Bates comes to the crease with 5 overs left of the day.

Realistically he is coming in as Somerset's no.8, but you could equally say that he's coming in as nightwatchman.

Well, we bowled them out for under 350, just, Brendy, Hampshire HAVE to get at least 300 in their first innings.
