Never come up with a chant before and no idea how to pronounce his name, but...

Gueye, Gueye, Gueye... Idrissa

(why? why? why? Delilah)

* gets coat...
Unless I'm very much mistaken Gueye is pronounced very similar to 'Gay'. Surely it should be "One Gueye in Southampton, there's only one Gueye in Southampton" :)

Sorry to come over a bit PL (and PC) here, but loosely homophobic chanting in 2015 isn't really too cool. I'm sure we can do better....

Fair comment, but I don't think that was a serious suggestion.
Me FT - I plead guilty to the charge of stating I thought at 5'9'' he was a bit small as a DM for us. Still do by the way! 'Let loose the hounds of war' for saying so! Bit of William Shakespeare of late on our site!

Yes, this was exactly my concern as well, I would be a bit concerned how the midfield would measure to measure up against the likes of Chelsea and Stoke.

If he is good enough for Villa, he is not good enough for us.

I'm going to watch Villa with interest. This is Sherwood's first chance to create a team and have them from the start of a season. He was much maligned at Spuds and end of last season because he acts like a dick in interviews and says incredible things. I think he's a good coach, but now we'll get a chance to see if he is a good manager or not. It will be fair to judge him on how Villa do in his time there from now. No excuses Timmy boy, this is your moment.

Especially as he will no doubt have a minimum circa £30m to spend from the sale of Benteke + they have off loaded a number of players like Bent so have capacity to strengthen. If the club is up for sale surely the existing owners will understand that if they get relegated they will be virtually worthless so may put some more cash at Sherwood's disposal too
