    I would expect them to pick Doncaster v Leeds and Bristol Rovers v Birmingham before us, not sure how many will be on tv.

    Josh Windass hopes to get one over on dad Dean when Stanley face Hull City in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

    The 21-year-old said it was a dream to be drawn against his dad’s former team – Dean is a Hull legend and now an ambassador for the Tigers.

    “I can’t believe it, it’s a quality draw,” said Josh. “I wanted Huddersfield which is my former club but Hull is even better.

    “My dad is an ambassador for them and will be at the game and cheering Hull on – it would be a dream to score against them!

    “I have had loads of texts and calls, including my dad.

    “He comes to watch me when he can but he will have mixed loyalties for this one. I guess he will be supporting Hull so I will have to do my best to upset him!”

    The ties will be played week commencing August 10th.

    Ex-Premier League team against League Two minnows, with the added interest of Josh Windass, I'd say it's far more likely to be picked than Brizzle v Brum.

    I've seen we are mentioned as the stand out game on BBC (so much for us being unfashionable) and they haven't even mentioned the Windass factor yet.

    I was seeing it through the TV eyes of Birmingham historically being a 'bigger club' so more viewers (why I expect Leeds to be on as well) Bristol being back in the football league, potential upset.

    Obviously I hope we are on especially if I don't decide to go.

    Last season opened with a Europa League qualifier, this season away at Accrington. Things sure can change fast in football. <laugh>

    No. As painful as it was it was not hard to agree on that post.

    The more you look at the draw the more our game stands out as what sky look for.
