I just hope Sherwood does take ''one of the best creative midfield players in the country'' off our hands for anywhere near what we paid as that awnker is one of the biggest reasons we went down.
mind you his goals return from last season as our top midfielder did come in handy though.

Not a chance especially for the reported £5.5m figure.

Villa are shopping at pound land until they get new owners. Whenever that will be ?

Really? I think we should drive him there at that price. Have you been fiddling with your crystal ball again?
TWT as always

Considering Chester has repeatedly said he's happy to stay, and we don't want to sell, why would he leave?

I think that most will give us this season to bounce straight back. Putting the strikers to one side,, what we have now is better than anything else other championship clubs have. With no need to sell and the new PL tv deal on the horizon we hold all of the aces.

The fact that Rosie and Macca were allowed to leave shows the clubs intentions.

You cannot stop the speculation just ignore or laugh at it.

The transfer deadline day will decide if we will challenge for promotion or not
You can plan all summer then be left looking pretty average just in that last 24 hours
But once again it's gonna be the lack of a goal scorer or 2 which we rarely seem to have

I think the key will be how quickly a team accustomed to losing can develop a winning mind set.

Villa have lots of money, Lerner is a Billionaire. He won't be going mad, but they don't have to wheel and deal.

They're about to sign Richards on £80k a week and are looking at a ridiculous offer for Vardy(allegedly £15m), they seem to have no issues splashing the cash at the moment.

That may be because they have a new preferred bidder that's been given an exclusive period to complete his takeover of the club.

Well i take that to assume they aren't hard up. Tickles seems to do that a lot, claiming clubs that are quite well off have no money. Must be some sort of psychological thing about not wanting to lose our best players.

If we can get our money back for Huddlestone id welcome it, he has 1 year left on his deal apparently and we dont want him leaving for nothing next year.

Sell him now and buy the best young english midfielder we can afford.

How much would Derby want for Hughes?

About £12m. Forster Caskey at Brighton would be cheaper. As would Tom Cairney.

We can't afford Cairney. :bandit:

We can, especially if we get our money back for Huddlestone. Would he come back? Not a chance, I think we should go in for either Lewis Cook or Alex Mowatt from Leeds, or both. That'll piss the scum off, taking 2 of their best young talents off their hands. <laugh>

Cairney hasn't changed as a player! He still lacks pace! Everyone said he would be best suited to the prem! So why would we want him back if we're in the championship?
