Who do we want on opening day and who do you think we will get?

I reckon we are due a home game and have a feeling we might get a promoted side, Watford maybe? Bournemouth won't be first/last game.

As for who I would like, I believe our first game will be on Sunday due to Europa, I wouldn't mind Chelsea away, get that one out of the way early on <ok>

I'll go - Watford (H) Norwich (A) Palace (H) Play Bournemouth away first.

Always an exciting time of the year. I said a few weeks back that my friend who works in Ladbrokes told me Saints opening game was Watford at St Marys as they had recieved the first batch of fixtures already. Personally a bit dubious about that but my pick would be:

Leicester (H) 1st
Norwich (H) Last
Manchester United (A) 26/12/15

Bournemouth home first.

I didn't even see that when you posted, just got a feeling of a new promoted side and we're due a home game.

What would you like for first game? I would either want something like Leicester (H) as a chance to get off to a good start, think playing promoted sides straight away can be dangerous or Chelsea (A) as I said above it would be good to get that one out the way nice and early :)
 
Not sure why we need 6 days to debate who we'll be playing first day, last day and on Boxing Day.

We don't I just thought we could all guess some of the games n see if anyones right, don't like it, don't comment, it's the boring summer, chill the **** out <ok>

There was an interesting article on BBC a few years back saying how the fixtures are done and how it's not completely random, for example they try to make sure there's no really long distances on opening day/ last day/ festive fixtures (why we tend to get a london club on boxing day) and also they won't have rivalries on opening day or the last day, so you'd never see Liverpool play United on the opening day.

I might try find the article as it really was quite interesting, think it was in the summer of 09.
 
I was upset to miss Palace away last year with it being on Boxing Day so I'm hoping for a home game or an away trip that I'm likely to avoid anyway (Swansea would suit).

Would be nice to not start and finish away again this year too.
 
Well it won't be Liverpool or city away as they have asked for away fixtures first game.......Liverpool at home first game anyone.
 
We should get a home game either first day or last day, or maybe both. I reckon we'll start at home.
