Pringle looked great when we played Rotherham. Says it all when he played well against us and went missing against stronger teams!!
Twitter is full of news that Pringle has signed and is likely to be announced tomorrow! Though these things can spiral out of control from one ill informed rumour but it does sound promising!!
Apparently looking at forums and twitter Pringle is going to sign for Fulham, Leeds and Ipswich in the next couple of days lol.... Your guess is as good as mine, he is a self confessed Leeds fan so wouldn't surprise me if he ended up there, though the bookies have cut odds massively on him coming to us and you never see a poor bookie!!!
According to the papers not only have we had a bid rejected for Richard Stearman of Wolves and two bids for Lewis Dunk we have now had a £1.2 million bid rejected for Sheff Wed defender Tom Lees.
Tom Lees would be a cracking signing. The 24yr old centre back played 40 games for Wednesday last season and helped them to a record 17 clean sheets. However, he’s only 1yr into a 3yr contract and that bid is well below his market value of £1.8m. It’s getting a bit worrying that we seem to be moving from pillar to post; making opening gambits then upping a bit before moving on. Not good for our credulity and smacks of naivety - the very opposite of what we were led to believe Mr Rigg brought to the show! Also curious how quickly these negotiations seem to get in the public domain
Apparently Jazz Richards is on his way back. It's not one hundred percent clear from this story whether it's a loan or a permanent transfer, but I'm surmising it's the latter. "HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Swansea City have accepted an offer from Fulham for defender Jazz Richards. As revealed by HITC Sport last month, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers had made enquiries for Richards, but now Fulham are in pole position to land the full-back after agreeing a fee for his services. Richards enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Fulham last season, making 14 appearances at Craven Cottage, and Kit Symons had made him one of his top targets this summer. The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Swansea and the Welsh club are ready to let Richards move on. Richards is keen to find a new club as he looks to be playing regular first-team football after finding himself behind the likes of Kyle Naughton and Angel Rangel at the Liberty Stadium." Source: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/10/swansea-accept-fulhams-jazz-richards-bid/ Not sure I'm really happy about this, if it's true. Didn't see Jazz offering anything more than Jack Grimmer. Still one is as injury prone as the other so maybe the'll just double up for the RB position. Oh, and according to Sky and the BBC the transfer window officialy opens today; although registration will be from 1st July.
Rumours are it's a transfer for £500,000 rather uninspiring was he really any better than Grimmer??? So much me me wanting to splash out on Lowton
So far the chairman lacks the ambitious foresight Mo had when he took over the reins. At first I thought MAFs aspirations for FFC where somewhat ambitious but he took us to heights few of us thought possible. Lets hope that Khan can rekindle that spark which so far has failed to enthuse us regulars in his appointments "or lack of them." Lets hope comes Oct/Nov we are not panicking. as in previous seasons.
here's a strong rumour that Carlton Cole .... please log in to view this image Come on, it wouldn't be transfer time if his name wasn't mentioned in the same breath as ours. But he is available on a free! Here's a link to the Premiership list of released players for a bowse - http://www.premierleague.com/content/dam/premierleague/site-content/News/publications/squad-lists/premier-league-free-transfer-list-2014-2015.pdf A number of our old guard in there; Brede Hangeland (although I believe he's got a coaching job back in Norway), Liam Rosenior, Bobby Zamora, Chris Baird and - very loosely - Darren Bent, who has already been snapped up by Derby. Not mentioned is Aaron Hughes but I understand he's also looking for something new. Of the others listed there must be some potential for us. Anybody you've spotted?.
There is obviously some on there who would be good but very unrealistic, in terms of players I would consider and we may have a realistic chance of signing there are not to many, only the following.... Herd- Villa Mulumbu - West Brom McAuley - West Brom Gutierrez - Newcastle McShane - Hull
The latest rumour is that we are in for the Ipswich striker Daryl Murphy. Getting on a bit but he has pedigree, which will undoubtedly come at a price. please log in to view this image “The 32-year-old Murphy, who scored 27 goals last term, has one-year left on his current deal at Portman Road, but Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy knows he faces a huge task to hang on to one of his prized assets. He is currently with the Republic of Ireland squad. Murphy has been linked with recently relegated Hull City and second tier promotion hopefuls Cardiff City – but Fulham, who still have parachute money coming their way this summer – are ready to put cash on the table.” Source: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/10/fulham-set-to-launch-bid-for-ipswich-striker-daryl-murphy/
Here's a full list of out of contract premier league players. Surely there's a couple of lads in this lot that can be a potential Danny Murphy? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33085004
list Goalkeepers: Stephen Harper, Ben Amos, Thomas Sorensen, Gerhard Tremmel, Brad Jones. Defenders: Ron Vlaar, Brede Hangeland, Peter Ramage, Antolin Alcaraz, Sylvain Distin, Maynor Figueroa, Paul McShane, Liam Rosenior, Matthew Upson, Glen Johnson, Micah Richards, Richard Dunne, Jos Hooiveld, Wes Brown. Midfielders: Jonas Gutierrez, Ryan Taylor, Joey Barton, Karl Henry, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Wilson Palacios, Youssouf Mulumbu, Abou Diaby, Ross Wallace. Strikers: Didier Drogba, Stephen Dobie, Yannick Sagbo, Gary Taylor-Fletcher, John Guidetti, Bobby Zamora.
Lots of injury prone players risky taking a chance on Alcaraz, Vlaar, Glen Johnson, Gutierrez, but were decent players at their peek. You'd think Guidetti might get snapped up by a Premier club or Celtic. Micah Richards was out in Italy, not sure anyone else would be a step up from what we have got.
I quite like Cookie's selection - with the exception possibly of McShane. Not because of his footballing (experienced and 29 is just about okay) but because he's another one with a tweeting attitude problem.
Reports coming in that we are close to signing goalie Andy Lonergan. please log in to view this image "Andy Lonergan is on the verge of a move to Championship rivals Fulham. The 31-year-old keeper was one of the highest-profile players released by Bolton this summer. Lonergan made 62 appearances in all competitions for them including 32 last season, but was allowed to leave as part of the club’s continuing attempts to curb costs. He spent three years at Bolton after being signed from Leeds United by former Wanderers boss Owen Coyle.” Source: http://m.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/13327562.Is_ex_Wanderers_keeper_Fulham_bound_/
