I agree. If Downing, Adam, Carroll, Henderson, Lallana, Lambert all had 'inho' at the end of their names, they would have excelled once they got their chance at a big club.
precisely now you have it cos a decent club would have bought them I wonder if any burnely local press have over used the rav-ings headline yet. "SO called reds fans not rav-ings about their new signing" Poor henderson the club cpatain now savaged too. poor lallana his hair is worth 25 mil alone lets just buy a pile of germans and guys with o at the end of thier name when the rules are about to change to max 13 foreign players.
Despite my criticism of Ings, he's a solid 3rd/4th choice striker who will be hungry. I'd sooner have him and Origi, than Borini and Lambert. Trying to be positive now - he's not the solution but I suppose he's a marginal and cheaper upgrade on Borini - hopefully we can at the very least break even on his sale..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luciano_Vietto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Ings As far as I can see, nothing of note that stands out.. Wouldn't say its a higher level (top 6 teams, which Villareal were/are one of them) always tend to give the lesser teams in La Liga a good going over!
Just to clarifiy, not saying I think Ings is better.. Because to be honest, not seen the lad from Villareal play, he could be a world beater.. Just having a go at the lad because he's from Barnsley isn't what I'd expect from Liverpool fans.. slatting him before he's had a chance.. A good solid addition to the squad, will be better than Borini and Lambert so that's a start in the right direction!
Bilic joins west ham as manager. Reckon that's a great move by them. Ayew to Swansea. Good move for Swansea too.
I wonder what people would make of keegan or rush or rob Jones or ray Houghton these days. Honest to God if I thought he was merely mediocre I'd say so
Indeed.. "Kenny Dalglish.. from Celtic.. he's pants, rather have that chap from La Liga/Germany/Dutch team... 13 goals in 100 games but his YouTube skills are awesome..." FFS
Lfc squad numbers 12 hg required potentially Ings Wisdom Ibe Henderson Sterling Sturridge Flanagan (for greez) Milner Allen Lallana 13 foreign Mingolet Skertl Sahko Moreno Lovern Coutinho Markovic Balotelli (for now) Toure Can That gives us 5 slots I think in 25, only 3 foreign players . If we get kovacic and a striker that all but uses them up. The thing is do you want to spend 50 Mil on barely or 25 on berahino?
Granted, its harder for these type of Gems to be unearthed nowadays, because, now, if they're good enough, they're most likely in some teams academy/u21 team... But lets give the lad a chance, if he's had a decent run out and is not performing, then I think we'd be in a better position to critique the lad!
Very rare indeed but they do still happen occasionally; Seamus Coleman for example. Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana both played through the leagues and it was that long ago that Steve Finnan was winning the CL with us and he started in the conference. This certainly shouldn't be a key aim for transfer activity but nor should we be writing a player off because they're not a big well known name. I'll be honest, I didn't want Ings and I have mention Vietto too but I have maintained that we already have that type of player in Origi. We should be signing two quality strikers to challenge Studge.
They are trying to emulate chelsea, buy a load of young players to loan out and keep stock piling on strikers til they get it right
I think with Ings, Origi and Stuge, we won't be getting two more.. one more, of quality is a must, we can then off load the others to pastures new!
Scored 1 in 2 at most clubs throughout his career. Was excellent at Inter, good at City bar final few months, and did a good job at Milan. It's only under Rodgers where he has failed.
