West Ham will visit Carrow Road on the 28th July k.o. 7:45PM

The fixture is to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first competitive fixture played at Carrow Road. In August 1935 City beat The Hammers in a 4-3 thriller in front of almost 30,000

Ticket prices are £10 adults £5 kids and concessions.
 
Cheers Drunky - I think Brentford and West Ham are really good warm up fixtures. Challenging and a variety in style.

Given the 11-day gap, do people think there might be a short tour abroad between 17 and 28 July?
 
Decided to check and not be lazy. Zema joined Cambridge from the Canaries in 2000, and joined the Canaries (us) the same year. In his complete career, including non-league, he scored a total of 25 goals. Was he that bad? As it appears that Bryan Hamilton bought him, he probably was.

West Ham's pre-season is nearly as glamorous as ours. Apart from a glittering night at Carrow Rd they travel to Peterborough, Southend and Colchester too. A memorable tour of East Anglia. Pity they couldn't secure Ipswich too for the full house.
 
I don't know why there are complaints. I think its a sensible selection. We don't play foreign teams in the PL
 
Pre-season friendlies, do they really matter?
I used to think that a good pre-season translated to a good league season but it certainly doesn't. Does doing well against some top European sides hold us in good stead for the league - no it does not because as Rob says above, we do not play Spanish, German and other European teams in the regular season and more than that, the fact that they are friendlies mean that you do not get the intensity of real competition and are possibly more likely to get a 'better' game against the likes of Cambridge United say who will be looking to have a go as our scalp will be seen as more of a trophy for them. Having said all of that it does seem a little odd to be playing Brentford as the final warm up game and I wonder if this is an attempt to overcome a side who beat us recently at CR?
Who knows, but AN probably has a plan.

Let's hope it's not put together by the same clowns who did 'the Italian job' for/on us last year.

Wonder if we might put together a couple of fixtures there between the 17th and 24th? When are the Champions League qualifiers announced /played?
