Not sure if you;re taking the p*ss after I declared my love for him during the summer! But my God, this guy is the best full back in the world, and I rate him higher than Lahm now. The complete full back.
Not this time Jimmy, RR is one of very few players we agree on. We discussed it before we signed Moreno, we both wanted RR.
Well, Wolfsburg got CL this season - will be interesting to see if he stays. Surprised he hasn't moved yet but it won't be too long IMO.
Paul Joyce confirms that Hyypia and Pako are both interested in returning to Liverpool. Not too keen on Hyypia as a coach but I suppose he could bring some structure to the defence, and will certainly command respect from players.
Problem is as we have Moreno can't see us getting a left back, especially not one going to cost upward of 15m. Get arbeloa, can do a job either side
Although I'd love it, I wasn't seriously suggesting we get him, more important things to be concerned with.
Moreno is also talented but very raw. Give him time. Arbeloa would be good but I want us to stick to our youth recruitment policy - there are plenty of versatile defenders out there who are young and hungry, and also cheap. Bundesliga is such a great market to shop in - Oliver Sorg, Sakai, RR are great examples (RR;s value will have risen significantly over past 2 seasons though).
I know he's been pants, but I'd rather keep him one more year, give him a year to bed in and 2nd year is make or break.
its very basic if a guy can't defend the far stick he's a **** defender... moreno.. is a **** defender. the thing is I cannot see how after a full season there was zero and i mean zero sign of improvement out of the guy.
Hmmm, have to say that moreno looks twice the winger that Markovic is, but even Markovic at wing-back looks a better defender than moreno. That still makes them look both defensively and attacking(ly?!!!) lamentable, btw.
