Mackail Smith is available on a free - always works hard but his record of goals of late hasnt hit the heights he did at Peterborough, worth a punt maybe and wont cost the earth in salary.

He couldn't get into the Brighton team, he's only managed ten appearances in the past two years.

I think he spent most the time injured.

He was out from March 2013 to April 2014 and the stats I saw were completely wrong, he actually played 37 times last season(3 of them on loan in League One). In those 37 games, he scored only three goals and only one of them was in the league. It's no wonder they didn't offer him a new deal.

Sounds like a prime contender for Hull City then who will get plenty of backing from posters on these boards who will continue to blame midfield if he doesn't score.

He'd be a decent signing on a FAT if he's managed to keep fit. So long as our midfield supplies him he will score goals, if they don't he'll just get scapegoated like all our strikers.
