Whenever I've seen a leaked kit image that is correct it's a shadily taken photograph on a phone rather than a snazzy CGI image.

The kit won't be released until the last minute like last year, until we know what our badge/name will be.

The kits will already have been made.

The badge will be the same, and the name doesn't matter as it isn't on the badge.

If the name is changed to Hull Tigers, I'm sure Allam will want that on the badge. This badge was only ever intended as a transition to Hull Tigers. If the name change is rejected again, I would hope to see a return to having Hull City on the badge but who knows with AA.

Kits would have been made by now last year as well yet weren't released for a fair while.

The kits have to be signed off before seasons' end. The other Umbro wearing team, Everton, were wearing their new kit on the last day. They will have signed them off around the same time as us.

I know someone who works on new kits launches for many clubs. In almost every case the photos for the launch will be done before the end of the season before the players go on holiday. They were doing most Premier League clubs photos in March.

So it's safe to say ours is already done.

I don't think we're disagreeing. Our kit for the season just finished was only released right before the season commenced because the club anticipated the name change would go through and the badge could be re-designed. It didn't, so they released it with a stripped back badge.

That surprises me considering many clubs will include new signings in their photos - like we did with Snodgrass - which obviously couldn't be done in March.

None of us can be sure but I'm not convinced that's the case. To have thousands of kits printed with a new badge wouldve taken ages, they cant just do it at the drop of a hat. Even if the name change had gone through last season I think we'd still have the badge we have now.

Then why was it released so late?

Was he in the very first image released of the new kit? I cant recall. Obviously they do further photography over the summer but the initial ones to announce it are normally done well in advance. Or that's what my contact told me anyway.
