Guidetti had a good season up here for Celtic, and there's a few others in SPFL available who would be cheap and hungry to prove themselves.

Any free agents that are below 30 have to be better than what we have.

Winger, what about Matt Jarvis. I have always wanted us to sign him. Reminds of Andy Sinton.

Mulumbu and Diop would well and truly clear house in the centre of the park. Chuck Diakite in for ****s and giggles and we'd have a pretty mean midfield trio right there! ;) Walters (Gutted we missed out on him when Warnock was at the helm) Weimann (Always a willing runner) and Guidetti (Good finisher) i'd have on the right wages also.

But would he take a paycut and drop down a division? If he's on a free wouldn't his wage demands be higher?

He's 32 later this year, maybe not. Worth checking out.

Only those prepared to come who are willing to buy into the project for sensible money need apply. Don't care how good they may have been elsewhere or how long ago that was. If they want to play, put in a shift and do so for the joy of playing for a reborn club, great.. Otherwise they can crawl back where they came from.

Jordan Rhodes the prefect replacement for Austin....Really hope we handle this better than the Remy situation.

If he decides to go then from the money we get for Austin we should be able to get Rhodes AND Gustede....That i'd like a lot!

To me Rhodes would stay rather be stuck in Blackburn, he's turned down numerous chances to move to a higher level, me thinks he can't handle it.

If clubs thought Rhodes was good enough then he'd be in the Premier League already.

Don't rate him personally, slow, sluggish and will get worse as he gets older.

I'd rather us go out and get Nakhi Wells from Huddersfield or bring in a younger player from Arsenal/Spurs/Chelsea on loan.

I think the expectations on this thread are far too high, we are not going to pay the sort of transfer fee and wages that a player like Rhodes would command. We will be going for unproven players with potential along with some players from the Championship downwards that have some experience.

I'm just getting restless - 8 players by the end of June means one every three days...

I do think that they'll be working tirelessly to get the targets though and I suppose it's good that there's no too much in the rumour mill.

We had the chance to sign Wells for £1M but RedCrap didn't rate him and he scores past us the game after we could have got him.
Always like Rhodes but he seemed to be sub a lot last season.
2 good strikers, average but fast midfield, pretty good defence gets you up, Simple.

Charlton's former manager not looking to sign winger Callum Harriott for Huddersfield Town, according to sources
Chris Powell worked with the 21-year-old between 2011 and 2014 during his time at the Valley

Speculation that Charlton Athletic winger Callum Harriott could be signed to Huddersfield Town has been shot down.

Former Charlton manager Chris Powell has said he wants to focus on strengthening the team in other areas - mainly defence.

Harriott is believed to be leaving the Addicks this summer and could move to QPR or Wolves, who have both shown interest.
