Chris Ramsey said they are looking to bring in 8 players before the start of pre season. I would guess that would be something like this; 1x back up goalkeeper 1x Right back 1x Left back 2x Center backs 1x Winger 2x Forwards Plus replacements for any players who leave during transfer window Austin etc. Seeing things are little quite at the moment with regards to QPR news, what players do you think CR and Les should be looking at? I'll get the ball rolling I have seen Andreas Weimann has been linked with 2m move to Derby. Always looked good against us. Got some pace which we have been lacking recently and can play out wide or upfront. I think he would be a good start.
Here's a list of Championship players that are available for free ... http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ews/find-out-championship-players-qpr-9383617
I would have said Matt Mills on a free - but he has gone to Forest. The type of defender I'd like to see is someone like Adrien Mariappa from Palace. He'd be cheap, and he definitely has Championship experience. Sticking with Palace, Dwight Gayle on loan? I'd also consider that Dominic Solanke on loan from Chelsea - scored a load for the u21s and will need experience. Wingers are the tricky area, because most successful Championship teams have a hard working winger which are hard to come by. I'd like to see us keep Matt Phillips, but I'm not sure who else we could get in. Maybe Gladwin will be deployed there.
But there's some real good lads in there, some triffic, triffic boys - in jest, wouldn't it be ironic if the two Danny's (****tu & Gabbidon) returned to Loftus Road!
None of the free agents look very good....I remember Kim Bo-Kyung being quite good at Cardiff and we could finally sign Darren Ambrose!
Here is list of some european players out of contract...Are friend Samba is on the list http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/transfers/endendevertraege/statistik?spielerposition_id=
Only 24, if not in TS plans and available, could be an interesting signing that might re-ignite his career. For a while at Villa he seemed like the perfect foil for Benteke to score goals, but seemed to go off the boil. Career - 28 goals in 148 appearances, so like Routledge he chips in with the goals, but certainly not prolific. Think he actually woke up in the last couple of months of the season and put in some good performances for Villa under Sherwood's stewardship. I imagine he'll be staying at Villa...though think Everton were also rumoured...
Jermaine Beckford would be a great addition. Local lad, rediscovered love for football has pace and scores goals
