Well plus all the other nations that helped a bit too.

Not to mention that the Germans helped us beat them as well by making a couple of key decisions wrongly.

Anyhoo I'm grateful the U.S. Did this because sure as hell no other nation was going to do anything about it.

You make valid points but without the Americans it would have been impossible. Pearl Harbour was the key.

This is great news. The whole show had become so bad that even the football mad Brazilians were protesting at the manner in which the cup was staged in their country.
I agree with those posters that suggest it's time for FIFA to be completely wound up. I have wondered for some time now, why European nations have not told Blatter to stick the whole thing up his arse.

Blatter reckons that the first, organised game of football took place in China in the 16th century..!!

He should know he was there.

He should never have been re elected. All these fraudulent actions have happened under his stewardship. Time for a new broom thank goodness.

If it had not been for Pearl Harbour the yanks would have stayed at home.

It was only in the last 10 years that we finished paying them for equipment they sold to us...Some friends.

Chuck Blazer was stopped by the feds whilst riding his scooter. The biggest thing you can learn from this is that you can actually feel sorry for non living objects, poor ****ing scooter.

Reading through a lot of this thread is like following an episode of Fawllty Towers.

''Don't mention the war, I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it all right.'' ... Basil Fawlty.

the germans would have never invaded the uk anyway, we declared war on them

they only attacked in retaliation

Maybe the suggestion that Churchill was aware of the impending attack and kept his mouth shut had something to do with it too!
Not quite sure about your second statement as I was always under the impression that equipment was 'loaned' to us by Roosevelt.
