    How have we thrown this away...

    Every batsman that's gone out and played shots has scored runs... So final 2 days what do we do? We try and defend 2 days woth of bowling and u surprisingly we are about to lose.

    Go go out and play shots and put them on the back foot, spread the field and give yourself more room ffs. Not difficult, they did it twice in their innings

    meh.. .we were always toast today... we had a full rain day in effect and zero wickets down... be blew this i nthe field and came out classic cook.. very defensive and conservative captain.

    non attacking field, saving runs, bowlers on a bad width and poor line... etc etc.

    england need a good long look again.

    1. get the line and length right.

    2. wake up moeen.. very poor batter, very poor bowling, shocking fielding.

    3. individual good performances here and there but in consistent.

    4. bowling depth a big issue.

    yes new zealand has very very good fielding day on our first innings... a super spell of bowling to skittle us after initial opening stand and then a better all round batting display in thier second innings.

    the england team dropped several chances, bowled a poor line consistently and failed with the bat too (some)

    Stuart Broad went for 200 runs in 30 overs... yes he took wickets but **** me that is some economy rate over the 2 innings!

    Said last test that the bowling department isn't good enough and we got buy last test but it's been shown up here... couldn't take 20 wickets on the best bowling pitch/bowling conditions in the Country as well as going for over 400 in the 2nd innings!

    Just not good enough and put immense pressure on the batsmen on day 4 & 5. They knew they had to bat all day to get something so didn't want to be too aggressive but because of that, were too easy to get out playing half heartedly.

    NZ showed that if you're positive, you can score runs, we bottled it.
