NZ 398 for 5 after their 50 overs. Bit of a chase now, suspect we will go for it and lose by about 150 runs.
Good score that. New Zealand brought thier world cup game finally.

85 from 42...but Buttler's gone now. England need 140 runs, have 5 wickets in hand, and just under 18 overs. If we can not lose wickets, it might be possible.

Should be a cracking finish what ever happens. If Morgan stays in we'll get close.

Billings is in now, then Rashid, Jordan, Plunkett, Finn. Don't know much about Billings and Rashid, can they bat? I know Jordan is capable of hitting a couple.
Doing better than I thought we would. I like to see teams trying, even if it is unlikely they will get it, then suddenly you realise they just might. What good sport is all about

Billings has done well for Kent and rashid got 50 in the last game v NZ.
Batting power wer play and Morgan goes... Still don't get why they wait, why didn't we take it when we're 70-0 off 10 overs..
we've no chance from here.

It's raining... play stopped, England 345-7 after 43.5 overs, 54 runs needed. England currently behind on Duckworth-Lewis (355 needed), and the break could halt our momentum. Shame.

34 from 13 balls is the revised total...
Advantage NZ here with the DL coming into play.
So instead of needing 54 from 6.1 overs...
They now need 34 from 2.1 overs..
20 runs knocked off but 4 overs also lost.
I know D/L is always said to be the best way to work these out, but common sense just states that it's worked out far better for one team than the other here.

Do wonder why common sense doesn't just say, we'll play the extra 4 overs and give the crowd a proper game..
I'm sure they'd all rather get home 30 mins later and see a whole game than this

England have lost three wickets for 10 runs in 15 balls, and may now be battling to use their full allocation of overs.

It's tricky because we want them to go and bat aggressively and that's what they've done all game.. So to then moan when they get out quickly is harsh.
One be of them when it gets to the final 10 and you lose 1 or 2 more wickets you say, ok let's rebuild a bit and go at 5 an over for the next 4/5 overs and then try hit the final 5 overs.
Finn just been bowled so all out for 302.
If we'd got that a year ago we'd be very happy... Now it's a disappointment.
