He will probably get married again within a year, even though he does look like he is related to the elephant man
Well up to your best standard.
How is this moron allowed to keep posting, whilst good people are threatened with bans?

Don't let him wind you up, it will soon be time for him to crawl back under his stone.Well up to your best standard.

His wife was fine while he was playing for us, so that is no excuse.
I could tell myself in his last season at ManUre that he was finished at the top level.
It is a shame that our coaching team did not have a clue.
If his wife was healthy, then everyone on this forum would be saying piss off Rio.
He reminded me of when we signed Gus Caesar on loan.
glad he feels guiltyand that is me finished

She wasn't diagnosed until march, so whats the excuse he has before that?
You Sir have my utmost respect for that post.Diagnosed isn't the same as being ill....maybe she was suffering by being sick, lethargic and any other amount of symptoms which he had to deal with prior to her diagnosis. No doubt she had the best medical help money can buy, but that still doesn't help someone who is terminally ill. I hope and pray (even though I don't believe in any higher being) that all you who are slating this man for having to deal with these extremely personal issues never have to deal with a situation that is anyway near similar and that your families live long, pure and prosperous lives.
My mum and dad both had cancer.
It is a **** life but you have to live with it.
Right so why did you post the comments that you did?
To play devil's advocate, maybe his wife's illness isn't an acceptable reason for such a loss in performance. Could you or I under-perform THAT much at work for so long under the same circumstances and get away with it (professionally I mean).
Because I cannot feel sorry for a rich footballer who let our club down badly.
I still have to go to work full time for a crap wage and if I dont give 100%, I will be replaced by a waiting Polish worker on minimum wage.
Does anybody else give a **** because I am not famous.

My parents have too, but I doubt it would have anywhere near the same impact as if my wife had, and I had to deal with the issues that that raises on a daily basis and still keep my mind on raising my family and providing an income for them by giving 100% at my place of work. Full credence to you if you can completely seperate your personal life from your professional life - to me family will ALWAYS be more important than any job, whether it be plumbing some ones bathroom, delivering someones mail or performing in front of thousands on a Saturday for a football team.
Yes, Rio should've retired at the end of last season, but to vilify him for the rapid decline of the health of his partner is wrong on all levels.
Probably not but this also coincided with a decline in the standards he had previously set due to age and injuries. ...
but that is again back to the daft decision to sign him in the first place.
