Tony Barrett - Liverpool have had a £10m bid rejected for Clyne.

That came out of nowhere!

Where was you getting this info from? Ive got his Twitter account saved in my favourites but dont follow him and never log into Twitter. Just read what certain accounts say and his Twitter wasnt saying this??

Spurs haven't helped us by going and spunking the bale money on average foreigners so it's almost likes its scared Rodgers and the committee into thinking we can't copy them so we'll buy premiership players and instead that's just gone the exact same way

To be fair I think Benteke, Sturridge, Ings and Lambert would be a decent group of strikers with two being the obvious main men and two decent back ups.

Who's it down to?

Rodgers or Gordon or the whole six committee members?

Who knows! I don't believe for a second that it is so disconnected that we were forced to play players out of position all season or that we bought the wrong type of players full stop.....surely?? Someones head must roll for the mayhem of last seasons player acquisitions.

We still have to move Mario and Borini first. There's no guarantee that they'll go even if we want to sell! As for the list above, It's still not a top 4 quartet imo <ok>

I prefer to judge signings on what they do when we sign them though in a slightly ironic sense it is slightly amusing that we go back to Southampton but only because of the performance of the players we signed from them and how we ourselves overpaid for them. All down to us nothing to do with Southampton

Saintsfan08 will have a nice meltdown and if or when it all goes wrong for us and that player then saintsfan08 will be boasting they sold us a pup.
Being a feeder club enrages that one <laugh>

Prior to this summer, I had my suspicions on who targeted who.

This summer - who knows. There's no strategy behind these signings IMO.

I totally agree <ok>

We all laughed at Spurs the prior year and said that they were like kids in a sweet shop with money burning a hole in their pocket. We were worse, hardly any of our signings made sense.....and I don't see that changing. I much prefer the way Mourinho works, every window he buys a top player and looks to improve his first team.....but soon cuts his losses if it doesn't work.....and he they rarely overpay; just look at Costa and Fabregas.....we seem to get sloppy seconds all of the time.....and I think a lot of that is down to not having a big name manager to attract them.

Looks to me that these players were already targets before the season ended, Rodgers although likely to keep his job hasn't had the review or a public announcement by the club he's still going to be manager next season, so why purchase any players until any prospective new manager is appointed?

These players have been targeted by Rodgers imo.

If he's in charge next season, we'll go backwards unless we spend big (on the right players, obviously)....I don't see that happening.

Lambert will go I think and replace him with Origi

I dont think we'll get Benteke, especially for 30 mill! Think there might be other clubs in for him

And Spurs have offered 12 mill for Ings havent they? So we probably wont get him either

In true Italian style they've cement blocked their lower legs into the foundations of the new stand

Hope there's some money left for a couple of pneumatic drills after we've finished making it rain at Saints again
