Crap!! How many other teams scored 5 twice? I've had the most enjoyable season so I couldn't give a toss what some spotty journalist thinks.

For me the most boring team is Villa.

    Everything about them is boring.

I think they'll be more of this next season, as the Journalists (unofficial) union seem to have made Nigel public enemy No1 :bandit:

I said on this site that we have played some dross this season, and I got shot down in flames! by some of the ones with blue tinted specs on here.
Mid season with no width we were simply awful, and that must be the ten matches that they have put us down for!

Two different things. This article suggests the matches were not entertaining, which usually means two teams cancel each other out. You suggested that we were playing poorly; which implies that the opposition was better than us. As I said to you back then, some of the matches that were dull (and have made this list) were because teams came to our place and made it tough for us, invariably ending in a 0-0 or 1-0 either way. Notice Newcastle only have one match on this, but anyone who thinks they were good in the second half of this season needs their head examining.

It is a weird thing though because we'd probably get as many matches in the best list too. Many of our matches have either been great viewing or drab, few in between. That said, there's no way the Southampton and Everton matches should be on that list.

How can our 2-2 draw with Everton be in there? Or relegation scrap with Burnley? Was low-scoring and scrappy, but certainly not dull! I'll admit we have had some pretty boring games, but I'd hazard a guess we'd be pretty high in some of the most exciting games of the season. There's one in particular...

.... makes me laugh ... the games that tend to be the most disappointing IMHO are the ones that the press build up the most e.g Chelski at Arsenal this season ... Jose goes there setting up for a point and gets one and the London paparazzi reach for the Kleenex to celebrate his tactical brilliance ... we do the same at Burnley (and frankly it was a bit cack) but we get portrayed as the anti-football brethren .... take it with a pinch of salt guys ...

Couldn't believe Chelsea v Arsenal wasn't on that list. A colossal bore-fest. I too noticed the London big boy bias. Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham all near the bottom and the two newly promoted sides not from the capital at the top.

All four midlands sides in the top half and three in the top five. It's not so much the quality of the football but the emotional investment of the "journalist" watching.

We had a long run of boring games which started straight after the Man U game and didn't pick up until around Febuary but i wouldnt call us boring not by a long shot

Teams like Newcastle and QPR are only judged as exciting because they was like watching a car crash
