I remember about a year ago that fans were saying we would have held onto the lead in the FA Cup Final if Bruce jnr hadn't have been forced off with injury...
Sagbo and Hernandez that I know about. Davies spat his dummy out when he was not offered a new deal and Dawson signed. Harper has said in the main we have a good dressing room. That is good enough for me. Burnsy has also said that the owners want to go straight back up So I don't expect any of our main players leaving.
There's a key word in my statement and it couldnt be any more clear that it wasnt my opinion. If you apologise now I wont hold it against you.
Correct. Sadly some on here forget things like that. Sadly Alex suffers for being the managers son. He is a good back up to our main three CB's. Curtis Davies should be better the grief that Alex is getting.
We can speculate all we want on the reasons for him going but for Macca himself going from zero and a figure of hate for most fans to dig in like that and to come playing like he did will not have gone un noticed and will have got the attention of many a team.
Unfortunately his excellent performances seem to have gone unnoticed by our management in regards the awarding of a new contract, one which in my opinion was well deserved.
Now confirmed... Long-serving McShane and Rosenior amongst those to depart.... The Club’s retained list for the 2015/16 season has been confirmed today and we can confirm the departures of out of contract players Liam Rosenior, Paul McShane, Yannick Sagbo, Maynor Figeroa, Steve Harper and Joe Dudgeon. Alex Bruce and Stephen Quinn have been offered new deals with the Tigers. Commenting on the retained list, manager Steve Bruce told the Official Website: “Regrettably, following relegation, we have made the decision to release the majority of those players whose contracts have expired. We would like to place on record our thanks for the service they have given to the club, particularly our two longest serving players Liam Rosenior and Paul McShane. Both players have been outstanding for us and they leave with our very best wishes for their futures. "The aim now is to retain as many of the remaining squad as possible and look to add some new faces this summer as we bid to compete at the top end of the Championship and bounce straight back into the top flight". McShane’s departure brings to an end a seven-year association with the Tigers which began back in August 2008 when he arrived on loan from Sunderland. He was part of the side that made such a memorable start to the Club’s first ever season in top flight football and he made a permanent move to the KC Stadium in August 2009. The Irish international defender has made 136 appearances for the Tigers and scored five goals, including the one which effectively sealed promotion back to the Premier League against Cardiff in 2013. Meanwhile Rosenior leaves having played 161 times for the Club. Signed as a free agent in October 2010, the full back soon became a popular figure and added some much needed experience to a young side adapting to life back in the Championship. He was a member of the squad that won promotion to the Premier League in 2013 and also played as the Tigers made history in the 2014 FA Cup Final and made their debut in the UEFA Europa League. Veteran goalkeeper Harper departs having made 31 appearances for the Club while Dudgeon, Sagbo and Figueroa have racked up 127 appearances between them. We wish all those who are leaving all the very best for the future. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...set-to-leave-2473673.aspx#Yta8F3xQlesrs4Jm.99
Trying to shift the point now eh? How could I possibly have an opinion that "Maguire has been outstanding"? I haven't seen Wigan play once with him in the side, never mind multiple times, which is precisely why I used the key word APPARENTLY. Just admit it, you missed this detail and immediately jumped all over my post. An apology now would make it so you walk away now with even a slither of dignity.
So has Alex signed or not? Mixed messages here. The club are clear that he's been offered whereas the HDM are saying he signed recently and OLM is led to believe he signed a 3 year deal last year. Two of these are wrong.
