Hoo ****ing ray rid of him at last. I wouldn't keep Hill in any capacity, but I imagine at least him and Ale will be cheap. I wonder if we actually want henry to activate his contract option?

Let's see where Barton ends up. Watford or one of our Championship rivals I'm guessing. Hope it's the latter, so we can watch their squad disintegrate through in fighting.

What was he saying on Monday? That he might consider resigning if the fans showed him enough love?

Maybe that was the final straw for the management team.

Why would you want to keep these senior players who have produced two seasons of dire football, one fluky Wembley win and a relegation in spineless fashion?

I would be delighted never to see any of the players who were on the pitch last Sunday never play for us again, including Henry and Hill.

I think this is the right approach, Ramsey needs to build his own team rather than try to re-shape the existing squad of aging misfits.

Good to keep Clint & Ale plus Karl Henry should be able to perform his DMF role ably in the Championship.

The Swindon pair possibly incoming would be good news.

Rio Ferdinand and Joey Barton among six to leave QPR

Veteran defender Rio Ferdinand and midfielder Joey Barton are among the high-profile players who will be released by relegated QPR this summer.

The club announced that centre-back Richard Dunne, winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, striker Bobby Zamora and goalkeeper Brian Murphy will also go.

All six players are out of contract at Loftus Road on 30 June.

Experienced defender Clint Hill and midfielder Alejandro Faurlin will both be offered new contracts.

Midfielder Karl Henry has until 30 June to decide whether he wishes to take up the option of an extra year and remain with the club in the Championship next season.

Massimo Luongo & Ben Gladwin: QPR set to sign Swindon pair
Swindon Town midfielders Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin are poised to sign for Queens Park Rangers, BBC Wiltshire understands.
Australia international Luongo, 22, joined Swindon from Tottenham in 2013.
During his time with Spurs he worked with QPR director of football Les Ferdinand and head coach Chris Ramsey, who were then at White Hart Lane.
Gladwin, also 22, has impressed since he was signed by the Robins from non-league Marlow two years ago.
Both players had a crucial role in helping Swindon to reach the League One play-off final at Wembley, where they were thrashed 4-0 by Preston.
Ferdinand and Ramsey, meanwhile, are looking to rebuild QPR's squad following the west London club's relegation from the Premier League

Swansea City: QPR, Derby and Fulham target Jazz Richards
By Dafydd Pritchard BBC Wales Sport

Swansea City and Wales defender Jazz Richards is a target for Queens Park Rangers, Fulham and Derby.
QPR, recently relegated from the Premier League, and Championship side Fulham have both enquired about the possibility of a permanent transfer for the right-back.
Richards, 24, made 14 league appearances
on loan for Fulham earlier this season.
The four-cap Wales international has a year left on his current contract.
With fellow right-backs Kyle Naughton and Angel Rangel at the club, however, Richards has found his first-team opportunities limited at Liberty Stadium.
Since making his Swans debut in 2009 Richards has made 39 league appearances for the club and had loan spells at Crystal Palace and Huddersfield, as well as the Cottagers.
The versatile full-back, who can also play in midfield, played in Swansea's last three Premier League matches of 2014-15.
But he is understood to be open to a move in order to enhance his international prospects.
    Richards has been
named in Wales' squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Belgium on 12 June.
Unbeaten Wales are currently second in Group B, behind the Belgians on goal difference with five games to go.

Consistently awful!! The bloke couldn’t pass wind

Never seen a more wasteful player in possession of the ball. Always had a howler in him waiting, whether it be a red card or a reckless back pass.

He went out in style on his last home games two horrendous passes in quick succession giving the ball away from which they nearly score but just as Green collects the ball Barton comes over and knocks him unconscious. Classic Barton.

With all those players gone. Somewhere in the region of £10m of the annual wage bill!!!!

The restructuring begins, and I for one am very glad to see it. It feels positive again, healing almost.

Cut out the rot and give Chris and Les a chance.

Thanks to Dunne etc (those who tried) but to the rest, glad to see the back of you.

Your future careers will be blemished by your time at QPR.

Old adage, but no-one should be bigger than the Club.

Offering a new deal to Clint Hill is utter madness. I love the guy's attitude but he gets roasted more often than Aunt Bessies potatoes. He should have been given a coaching role - a good bloke to have around the club, just not on the football pitch!

The club have done absolutely the right thing and thought of the finances first and foremost which has to be paramount to us remodelling as a Business.

Our big earners have left, our wage bill has been significantly reduced. It's a successful move.

Can only really understand Hill being offered another deal as his wages aren't high and if we're hit with a transfer embargo then we've got to play safe and have some experience in the squad.

Ale Faurlin (If he's fit) and hopefully Karl Henry add a bit more steel and grit to the midfield. If they're both on 1 year deals then it's good re-signings.

Joey Barton may well re-sign - I seem to recall that Carlton Cole has done this several times at West Ham United.

I hope so; as I value his efforts on the pitch - not the most talented of players - but one of those players who always gives his all.

SWP could do the same - you've just ruined my afternoon... <yikes>

Personally I don't want to see Barton back. I think he's divisive in the dressing room - the creator of cliques, on the pitch his passing his awful and then there's the red cards...

I give him credit for the undoubted effort he's put in on the pitch this season...and wish him good luck with his future career

What the **** do you know about any in squad fighting caused by Barton..? None of course...The fact is Harry and more importantly Ramsey have praised him highly
regarding his attitude and work ethic on and off the pitch. Most of our supporters can see that too.
The only good thing about Barton leaving is that maybe you will stop your ridiculous prejudiced rants about a man you have never met.

I am pleased that things are being done now. Wouldn't it be nice if before the middle to end of June CR says: "That's it, the squad is completely in place, no more in and no more out".
