So in essence, these players were given more money to play for better teams and in the CL. Can't blame them really.

Of reports are too be believed, those clubs only joined negotiations later after we'd pissed about negotiating the pennies too long. We try to get players on the cheap initially and only increase our offer once force, often putting putting players off via a lack of respect initially.

Fair point but you also have to consider delays caused by the selling side or the agent. Perhaps they are the ones who delayed the deal because they knew of interest from 'bigger' clubs ...?

Personally, if LFC were a big enough draw, then we would have signed them. Truth is, we're not and there is little to attract players with. We can't offer CL and we don't have a well known manager.

over simplistic.

sure theres some element of it... but.... if you toss the right carrot in fornt of these guys they come. the truth is they turn to their agent and ask... will i get bette rif i wait? and the answer is almost always yes.

We offered willian 110k per week... 30mil transfer fee and spurs beat it and he was all in for joining them.. then cheslea turned up and he flipped instantly.

Cheslea had the bigger draw but i'll bet you anything spurs were just paying him and his agent more... end of.

WE TURN UP ALMOST EVERY TIME WITH AN "ENQUIRY" THEN A SMALL BID THAT TURNED DOWN THEN START REAL BUSINESS.... MEANWHILE OUR SEIVE LIKE CLUB TELLS ALL WHO WE ARE AFTER AND AGENTS DO TOO.

we simply don't get it done and itsnot about draw its about clubs and agents knowing theres bound to be a better offer out there.

We took 3 months to get moreno done and why? cos nobody esle wanted him. why did we get balotelli, nobody else were in either. we got moreno for 12mil not 20. we got badontelly on 75k per week based on being the only club in town

If we did bid on depay we were always going to be outbid by utd in wages.. thats the real story. we talked but the moment we heard who was in we just gave up.

No, it's the Khedira who has been injured, and has won league titles, Champions League and a World Cup. <ok>

Well, considering they're two different players who perform different roles, it's amazing that you attempt to compare the two. <ok>

And one is/was world class in his respective position as a DM.

Would you be happy to give Khedira £100k per week ?
 
Ibe may have just signed a contract extension, but he has dropped out of the England U20 squad with a "recurring knee injury". Hope he is not going to be another Sturridge. Why do our players seem to pick up so many injuries. Is it the training regime or the fact we throw them into the first team squad to early and then play them to often?
 
Joining the party late but this is my 2 cents:

- milner is a solid pro and whilst i dont rate him that highly (i think even hendo is better than him), he isnt the worst buy. For a free transfer and for 100k (hes probably not worth this) he is a no brainer as he will inprove your first 11 and offer you the utility team.

- the person who is going on about lallana and co arent just for a single season and not to write them off, as much as this is true and you need to leave players to grow, these players are currently failures and unfortunately flopping as badly as they have will bring criticism. They may come good next year or they may never come good. For every lucas and ramsay you get a torres and a mikel so every time they have been slated its fair game in my book if they have been bad
 
Tony Barrett confirms that LFC will be preparing a bid for Benteke, and deals are close for Danny Ings and Milner.

Also says the Borini and Enrique have been told to find new clubs. Lambert and Mario likely to leave.
