On 7 May 2008, the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber ordered Mutu to pay €17,173,990 in compensation to his former club, Chelsea FC, for breach of contract.

Huddlestone will ****ing dominate the championship, he's far too good for that league, and to think managers will be put off him due to ONE bad season is ****ing insane. He has ability in stacks and I'm sure we'll see him dominating play under a more daring manager on MOTD next season.

He's the one we really need to keep, along with any one of the three strikers, as they'll all cost £10m to replace in today's striker market for a lower quality.

It really does make me laugh just how quickly people will write players off. It gets ****ing silly on here.

    thats the problem

he will find a prem club next season.. he has potential in abundance, he is probably in the top few of natural passers in the world, and i mean that, he can flick balls left and right like he's not trying

but he's had an awful season, it's the reason he plays for us and not a top team, he doesn't have the consistency and i think he doesn't have a position he has made his own

    but we should keep him..

This reminds me of the guy posting on here saying we would stay up because Huddlestone would 'pass Burnley off the park' surely that game is a good parameter of his ability in the Championship as he got moved further up the pitch as the match went on and didn't dominate at all, in fact was completely ineffectual

that is why huddlestone isin't playing for a champions league team and an england regular

he has the ability easyily, but the consistency, and there just doesn't seem to be a position that huddlestone seems natural at

Somebody else on here posted he lacks 'moral courage' i.e. he can pass and has all the ability but doesn't use it, there's no point in him being a brilliant footballer if he doesn't play to the best of his ability

Huddle stone would be an incredible asset in the championship - one bad season isn't an indicator of superlative loss of talent. He can be (granted althought he hasn't been) one of our best players. Keeping him will be imperative to our chances of gaining promotion

honestly, huddlestones ability to pass the ball is amongst the best in the world, it''s wold class imho, he can flick a 50 yarder anywhere he wants it,

but its every other attribrute to his play,

In principle that's great, however, we won't be able to afford all the midfielders next season. Assuming we play with 3 still, there'll be Livermore, Huddlestone, Diame, Snodgrass, Meyler and Quinn plus any new signings. It definitely needs freshening up, I'd sell Meyler, release Quinn as long as we keep the others and I'd like to see us bring in Chalobah.

Also think it's crucial we sell Jela, for the money he's on we simply don't get enough games out of him. Bent is on a free I believe but whether we'd be able to attract him is questionable

so you'd keep Livermore who will probably get a two year ban but you'd get rid of Quinn

Bruce would never stand for that, drifting away from his favoured 3-5-2 formation, although you may be right about him starting with no strikers in the line up. <ok>

I liked your original post but disagree with this one. I think he's got all the talent you need for a striker. He's a good finisher and holds it up well, problem is he can't be bothered. When he first signed he was excellent. Last few weeks, particularly today, he's been a complete passenger. Sick of these foreigners we bring in with absolutely no bottle. How does Bruce not see it when he's scouting them?

for £2m, n'doye is a bargain to be fair

    1 in 2.86 for us

and 1 in 2.41 for moscrow

it's the problem with certain foreign players, i don't think it's cause he can't be bothered, it's just the toughest league in the world, it''s incredibly tough, he was never an energetic player, he did take a paycut to join us, i just think he isin't technically good enough with the ball

    Goalkeepers

    McGregor
    Watson

    Defenders

    Robertson
    Dawson
    Chester
Davies (Can still do a job as a back up in Championship)
    Rosenior
    Lenihan
    Maguire
    Dudgeon (The forgotten Man)
    Elmo

    Midfield

    Meyler
    Diame
    Snodgrass
    Brady
Ince (Defo a hit in the Championship)
    Huddlestone

    Forwards

    Jelavic
    NDoye

Bring in 1 Goalkeeper , 3 midfielders, 2 strikers and we would have a decent Championship squad i reckon

    Bye Bye to

    Hernandez
    Livermore
    McShane
    Quinn
    Sagbo
    Aluko
    Harper (Ret)
    Jakupovic
    Figueroa
    Bruce

who we want to & who will stay = 2 different things (& who will want to come)
I suspect we'll loose 60 -75% of the squad (retirement, let go, not renewing their contract & poached*)
we'll loose all the forwards - however much we want to keep some, as we saw with Long if a player want's to go ... (& trimming the wage bill)

luckily Diame & Snodgrass being injured will probably save us a couple of players & If the 'problem' has been scoring goals - we need a team who can score & start again with the midfield & build with new young hungry forwards

poached = Hernandez, NDoye, Jelavic, Huddlestone, Brady, Elmo (may stay loyal to Bruce),
Dawson - may / hope stay with the team to 'retire'

I think Chester will also go.

We'll likely lose the contract rebels Quinn and McShane - Which is really disappointing.

We are going to have to spend some coin on a UK based striker that can score in the Championship. We should have done this instead of spunking money on the dogshit that is Hernandez.

We also need a central midfielder like Bradley Johnson at Norwich - good all round player, knows the division and scores a few. Not sure Diame will be here or recover his fitness?
