Im really surprised so many people want N'Doye to leave. I know that we will get offers in for him and he will probably leave but I certainly would like him to stay.
He as been a decent signing although today I thought he looked poor, his worst game for us

Can you scan the relevant pages instead, please? :cheesy:

What was in it that suggested Quinn would go too?

You have no idea who I am or you wouldn't have asked. Scan pages, bloody hell!!!! its hard enough trying to work out how this site works, never mind uploading videos to CI.

There are a number of pages where he talks about the Irish team and our Irish lads. Most of it is light hearted but it shows an unhappiness with what was happening at Hull. Nothing specific but it does provide an explanation why McShane hasn't signed a contract. It would, if it happens, explain why Quinn didn't sign a new contract. Mike Phelan may have cut across those feelings in which case Quinn may sign a new contract with us. If he doesn't the book does provide an explanation.

Its a fairly easy read. Get it out from the library it's worth it.

He's got Bournemouth written all over him. 5 in 14 isn't bad.

He misses far too many chances, can't pass and doesn't hold the ball up well. Not a bad scoring record but doesn't contribute enough for me.

Good luck to him if he moves on but if we get 3m for him we'll be laughing.

It would be interesting to see if we went for youth.

I would like to see Mark Oxley given a chance in goal with young Watson as back up. Looking to the future and all that.

Oxley

Maguire Robertston

Ince Brady

Aluko

All form a good spine of a young team.

I totally agree. He's got his own miss of the season competition.

But 1 in 3 is a good record and is the kind of amount that newly promoted sides look for.

He's missed a few but at least he's always in decent scoring positions, there are far worst strikers we could have got. He'll score 10 a season which isn't bad for a bottom half club.

I think Harper will go we are pretty strong in the defence but can see some lower clubs come in for Robertson, Brady, Elmo and may be Chester. As for the midfield I think someone will come in for Huddlestone and hope he gets the form back he had with us in our first season. Livermore is a massive problem what do you do with him? if you sack him is 8 million just wiped out, if we sell him cant see us getting much. Up front I can see Hernandez, Ndoye and jelavic all leaving. If we do lose robbo, elmo and Brady we would lose a lot of pace from the team so that's something we would need to address plus I think we need to add pace up front. Don't know what will happen with Ince? and would like to see the real heart of the team, Mcshane, Quinny and Myler signed up because their work rate and fight is going to be needed in the championship.

The midfield needs tweaking we need a player who can consistently create but I couldn't name anyone who I'd like us to bring in.

He's good is N'Doye, just on a bad run of form.

It's worth noting as well, we're writing off £8m worth of Livermore, whether he gets the sack or not we don't have him for two years at least if at all. We simply cannot afford to lose on other players. How many will people be prepared to pay what we did for each player? I think most will end up staying.

If Livermore cops a two year ban then nobody's going to get him and its 8 million down the pan.

Only sell those players that we can make a decent profit on! Keep the rest until January, and if we're playing well and high up the table, they sell themselves at higher prices. A gamble I know but it gives us a better chance of promotion and more money to reinvest.

Goalkeepers : I reckon Harper will retire - we will look for a new No.1 with Greegsy being 2nd choice.
Defence: Chester and Robertson will be sold if the right offers come in. I hope we keep Mcshane and Dawson. We will keep Bruce, Davies, Rosie and Mcguire.
Midfield: Elmo will stay as long as SB does. I'd keep Meyler, Brady and Quinn as they have been there and done it in the championship. Hopefully Snodgrass and Diame will regain full fitness for the start of next season. If anyone has watched Huddlestone this season I can't believe they would bid for him!
Strikers - I'd like to keep Jelavic but think he'll get an offer from a lower PL side. Hernandez can go as can Sagbo. Not sure N'doye would be up for chamionship battle and although champiomship is Aluko's level, I would hope we will be in for at least 2 - preferably 3 new strikers.

I doubt we'd be able to afford to keep McGregor as 2nd choice, he'll be on a stack and the squad as a whole is too big. We're top heavy on center halves and midfielders

McShane has just had a post on MOTD -thanking the fans for all their support - sounded like a goodbye - can't blame him if true because of the way Bruce treated him for most of the season

They will have to take a huge hit on Huddlestone to get rid of him, surely he won't be any good in the Championship if he is too slow for the Premier League? I am hopeful Quinn and Mcshane will stay but it's relative now to whether Bruce stays, got to be some doubt after what I just saw on Match of the Day in his interview. I never saw Hernandez punch from the North Stand so this forum has its uses, just seen it now. Please lets not see him in a City shirt again regardless of anything else I wrote before

We already know Brucey is on the lookout for a goalkeeper, as has been said Harper is retiring:

McGregor - Keep, nothing wrong with him, just had a bad run of form so it's up to him to get back into the side
Harper - retiring
Jakupovic - Keep, decent back up
Oxley - Will probably go to Hibernian

Dudgeon - Not sure, he was great in our promotion season, but doubt he'll stay
Townsend -Keep, should be ready and would be decent cover
Dawson - Keep, might get an offer from PL
Davies - Leave, don't think he's in Bruce's plans any more
McShane - New contract
Chester - based on today's performance he won't have that many suitors, but he'll probably go,hopefully for more than £5m
Bruce - Decent cover
Lenihan - Should be on the fringes, we need to start blooding youth
Robertson - Keep
Figueroa - Leave (we have too many LB's, 5 in and around the first team?!)

Huddlestone - Opinon divided, he's a great player and he'll dominate the Championship, keep if we can afford him
Quinn - Keep
Elmohamady - Loyal to Bruce, will stay
Brady - Would get a decent fee, but I'd like him to stay
Livermore - Probably gonna get fired
Meyler - Has improved for me, keep
Ince - Keep, we need to play a system that works for him
Snodgrass - Stay, nobody will come in for him until January at the earliest
Diame - As above

Aluko - Too good for the Championship, I think he'll leave but if we can keep him then great
Jelavic - Will probably end up somewhere like Stoke
Abel H - He's wanted back in Italy so I'm guessing he'd go. I'd keep him though.
N'Doye - Has done enough for one of the bottom half clubs to take a punt on him.

Didn't Chelsea sack one of theirs probably 10 years ago now for failing a drugs test, then sue him for compensation (and won).
