There is the possibility that family concerns will come before the money and SJ will leave us for a job in mainland Europe. The combination of his family being in Spain and his knowledge of how the Pozzos work, would almost make him an ideal candidate for the Granada job.
Didn't they just replace their head coach three weeks ago though? Even by Pozzo standards, that would be a bit much - and scant reward for pulling off the almost impossible.
Pardew's experience and results justified that along with the fact if Pardew was poached by another club it would result in healthy compensation going to Newcastle, not much of a gamble by Ashridge there
I didn't know if the appointment was a temporary one just to see them through to the end of the season.

If Gestede is signed, could this be that Vydra who is on loan is not going to get a second chance at the prem? Could it be that FF is not going to stay? Plenty to speculate on, but true to form not much news comes out of the club until deals are done.
I suppose it's a wait and see thing, but I'm not sure about this one. What few noises coming out of 'the family' suggest that their aim is more than survival - meaning players of a higher standard. I don't see Gestede in that category - good in the Championship, without a doubt, but wasn't he tried in the EPL with Cardiff and found wanting?
Be strange signing somebody without a manager! Maybe Slav didn't like the way we did transfers - he did have a little pop in January I remember over the deals we did/didn't do.
