in the end all the evidence i need is encompassed i palace game at anfield. they had a plan to sit off for a while to save legs. we did manage a goal off a woeful pass by kelly and lallana on his own chasing. they then switched immediately to simply a press on our woeful side and we fell apart totally and they have several chances. We were poor, lack confidence.... the point on teams not considering us a threat and not playng as deep is a good one. we are strung out vertically while they can be nice and compact and high safe in the knowledge Sterling's pace is useless and our other players are all passers we are not compact enough... not dangerous enough and simply put just plain average. 5th is by circumstance not by performance IMO
Because they're spurs Despite having a twenty goal striker, they still only got six more goals than us and therefore wasn't good enough still. They lack goals from other areas and their defence was eleven goals worse than ours (my good their defence must be ****)
Tony Evans has just tweeted this: Rodgers was close to the sack (before xmas). Warned to play signings or else.
I may be in the minority, but that means 7 others are wrong .. Please can we end this now - let's agree to disagree that you agree that I am right. Case closed.
I'm not a fan of Oscar purely because he's one of the biggest diving cheating ****s in the game but he's a very good player too. Oscar and £15m+ for Sterling would be a cracking deal for us. Realistically, it would be nearer a straight swap IMO
I'd have oscar and coutinho together... have to think hard how the hell to make that one work but hey.... twice the player of every other squad member we have.
Play a 41221 with Oscar and Coutinho just behind the main striker? Failiing that, Oscar moves wide, Coutinho must stay in the hole.
Interesting (if academic) to think about potential deals to be done with Sterling... Walcott maybe... Few players could leave City including Nasri but can't see him at Liverpool. Navas?
