Brendan Rodgers says it has been a difficult and trying season but says players have given everything. Says the players are wonderful technicians and human beings with great character but need a rest, club will work hard to improve the squad, next year provides another big opportunity, we just needed that wee bit of luck in the final 3rd :p

Not the biggest surprise but in some ways I have been more impressed by Can's performances and attitude as he struggled to play completely out of position.
