That's OK mate. Apparently some of the other boards are plagued with these guys, please report any you see on this board so we can stamp them out.

Yep. Good advice from Chilco. By all means point them out, but don't give them the exposure by quoting their links. That's just what they want.

    Cheers.

I did open the particular link. It was about football but nothing to do with the PL. It was just irrelevent transfer speculation rubbish. Even the worst speculation on NewsNow is far more substantial.

Can I just say that as great/funny Palace winning today was I would like to wish Gerrard luck over in the states and im sad to see him go, one of the best midfielders of the PL era and English football would certainly of been poorer without him

I know it's awful, hopefully people involved recover well and the scum responsible get long jail sentences. No place in football for violence at all, but attacking women n kids? Disgraceful

I wish him well too, but although I think he was a very good player, I sit in the camp that thinks he was overrated as a player. Not massively, but not quite as great as a lot of people make out. The England team may even have been better if he wasn't guaranteed starter every time.

At the end of the day, the difference between 5th and 8th may well be very minimal, but nevertheless football fans (like politicians, and others) are often in the habit of taking statistics at face value. And that is very interesting when it comes to Spurs and how their fans may view Poch's first season. Would be a 5th place season be "an improvement on last season" and "better than Liverpool managed"? Would an 8th place finish be "an utter disaster", "a backward step for the football club", and "evidence that Poch found his level at Southampton and cannot manage any higher?"

I think they found what they are, when they sang that song away to Stoke last week.

I partly agree and think he was overrated by some due to leadership qualities (much like Terry imo) However hes been absolutely inspirational for Liverpool and carried that team for years and been involved in some fantastic matches too. You could also argue that England may have been better if we had built our midfield around him instead of shunting him out on the left (Sven).

Football hooligans cause mayhem in London in glass and bottle attack on rival fans and bystander

One man was left with blood pouring from his head after a group of around 20 savage thugs set upon members of the public.
    • One man was left with blood pouring from his head after a group of around 20 thugs set upon rival fans and bystanders.

The victim's head injuries are not considered life threatening or life changing.

    • Small children were believed to be among the victims punched and kicked by the mob who “steamed” in near King's Cross station in central London.
